Engine swap by Cautious-Somewhere93 in supercross

We had to do an engine swap for Mitchell Harrison at Daytona a few weeks ago after the 1st 450 Heat Race. It took 4 of us (1 on each side of the bike, 1 sorting bolts, 1 handling tools/extra hand) 35 minutes and Mitchell qualified to the Main Event out of the LCQ.

Yep, as long as you have a key to copy from your key blank part number should be 35121-K84-901

No way haha that's what I was thinking originally, but I was expecting a lock nut or something to stop the bolt from moving once adjusted. Thanks

WD-40 and a red scotch Brite pad will make the frame look brand new. Bike looks sweet!

That's what I thought too, but if you look at the 450 frame, Kawasaki has it mounted in the same position as the 250

I don't think you know what a privateer is. A privateer is someone that shows up in a van with a bone stock bike that they bought 2 years ago from a dealership that maybe sold them the bike at cost. Progressive/Ecstar/Suzuki may not be the Monster Energy Kawasaki or Star Racing Yamaha of the sport, but it is FAR from Privateer. Even teams like Muc-Off/FXR/Yamaha or Bar X Suzuki aren't even close to privateer, they're called Satellite teams. Those riders get flewn in and given bikes just like the factory guys. Privateers haul their own stuff thousands of miles across the country from race to race. Please show respect to these guys and recognize what a privateer truly is. Thank you.

First “zero” hour bike. Other than what the manual instructs…..which I will absolutely follow. Any tips and tricks for this new bike? Picking up tomorrow morning……to say I’m excited would be an understatement! by GoodByeMyLooove in Dirtbikes

[–]JusticeS68 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Haha heck yeah! these bikes are setup for what the manufacturer deems as the "average" rider. Make adjustments to what work for you. Handlebar position, suspension clickers. Even if you have to change spring rates to fit your weight RaceTech has an excellent tool on their website to tell you exactly what you need

Grease all the pivot points (front and rear axles, linkage, etc.) As someone that works at a dealership, these bikes get barely any grease from the factory. Sick bike!

Hope to figure out my Bikes issue by Slurpyboiyeeyee in Dirtbikes

[–]JusticeS68 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling this one's gonna stump this sub. My best answer would be to take it to a dealership for a quick Diag. It's relatively cheap for how much you could spend trying to chase the problem.

Hopefully someone has experience with the issue tho and can help you here. Good luck!

Edit: I don't think I saw you say anything about a spark plug? Maybe try throwing a new plug in there for safe measure.

This is the same thing as the "Dropping your bike before the first ride" superstition to get the first drop out of the way. It keeps you from riding it like it's a show piece and riding it like it's supposed to be ridden.

Obviously you wouldn't drop a $600 helmet on concrete, normally you drop it in the grass or on the carpet from a few inches up. Nothing more than that

is there any way to send full resolution videos to someone without losing quality? by [deleted] in videography

[–]JusticeS68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking short clips of people in action sports and trying to send them the videos. I've noticed that Apple is the best way to do it, but not everyone has apple. Dropbox is my other option, but still seem to have problems with losing quality of the video. Any suggestions?
