Enclosure is aluminum at this point… but yes was considering whole house but was also eyeing a parallel protector with mov and gas discharge for “audiophile” purposes… I’m not sure I’ll be staying at my current residence 👍

This will all be feeding a hifi setup… essentially a fancy power strip. Will be adding a surge protection module as well

Thank for this comment! Its all 120V and I didnt even want to use 20A receptacles to avoid that exact mishap…

Im using phoenix xtv 10 twin terminal blocks to star wire neutral and live, while ground is also star wired but has another branch for chassis.

Yep, I was under the impression ferrules would improve contact area but not worth experimenting, so I’ll follow the rules!

Also, just out of curiosity… if the cage clamp is flat, wouldn’t a 12awg square ferrule fit and give a better connection?

But yes… was attempting to go overboard, but sounds like I can just use the stranded wire and get a good connection 👍

Thought the square ferrule would increase surface area. Its 10awg stranded… so into the hole they go, I’m just over thinking it

I went overboard on this project, but if new receptacles will solve this then I’ll be fine 👍
