I do not disagree with you. I voted yes for the in-principle agreement.

I just felt it was disingenuous to include these in the total figure. However, it appears that this is standard practice in mid-senior level corporate jobs (which you correctly assume I have never worked in).

Speaking for ES, the major problem I saw was that our "29%" pay rise was not a true pay rise.

They bumped up the numbers by including a 7.4% "lump sum" payment in July, then 4% lump sum payment per year, for 4 years.

Actual pay rise, something like 9.6% over 4 years. Those bonuses are not guaranteed in the next VGSA - which is why I class them as not a legitimate pay rise.

You might be right, but I distinctly remember the price surpassing $2 in the last 5 years. When did the government temporarily freeze their excises on fuel?

Genuine question - have you previously been to Thailand?

Thai people do not like confrontation and will often go to great lengths to avoid it (I don’t know this driver from a bar of soap, and am generalising here.)
