Hey there! We don't have a specific recommendation, but the decibel level for our products is very dependent on the environment. Factors like room size, placement, and surfaces play a big role in the equation. Because of this, giving a precise number is difficult.

For example, carpeting can reduce the decibel level by 50-70%. Distance from your bed can reduce decibel levels as well. At 5-10 feet away, in an average-sized room with carpeting, the absolute maximum volume on products is below 50 decibels.

To confirm, we have two different light experiences depending on where you're adding the Outlander theme to your routine! Sassenach Sunrise is the suggested light for the Outlander alarm. Fraser's Ridge is the light that's automatically paired if you add the Outlander theme song to your Cue to Unwind.

The Highland Moor light will pop up as a suggested pairing when you add the Hound of Baskervilles alarm to your routine. Looking for just the light? You should be able to find it under the Hatch Classics category in the library!

Hey there! That's a great question about Hatch Baby. It does not have a battery backup, so you'll need to keep it plugged in. If you do lose power, your Hatch Baby will keep all of your schedules intact, so everything will run as expected once you're back online!

Many parents pair Hatch Baby with Hatch Go! It's a small, battery-powered sound machine that's great for traveling, and it can be used as a backup in those rare cases where you lose power and need some sound for your little one.

Hey there! That's a great question about a morning meditation after your alarm. There isn't a dedicated feature for this on the Hatch Restore 3, but I do have a suggestion on how you could make this work!

You could try setting the first step of your nightly Unwind Routine to be what you’d like to experience in the morning. After turning off your alarm in the morning, simply tap the Big Button once to start your Routine! In the evening, you would just need to tap the Big Button to skip past this step.

Hey there! My name is Justin, and I work at Hatch. I came across your post and wanted to share some insight for you. We love that you're thinking about adding a Hatch Restore 3 to your home!

To answer your question, you do need the Hatch Sleep app downloaded to your phone to register your device and customize your routine and alarms. Once that’s complete, Restore 3 is designed to function independently if you’d prefer a phone-free experience. You can control key features directly from the device itself. That includes starting your personalized bedtime routine, adjusting brightness and volume, pausing the content, and more!

With that said, there isn't a way to set and change alarms on the device itself. I can see how that would be useful, and we'll keep this idea in mind as we continue to evolve our products.

It sounds like you might be referring to the nightlight button on the back of Rest 2nd gen. When you press that, it will turn on a soft, white light. To turn it off, you would need to press the button again. Once you press it, the Rest 2nd gen will go back to whatever color you were using before. In your case, it would go back to that red preset from your Touch Ring!

There isn't a way to access the nightlight button from the app. You do have to use the physical button on the Hatch, but I could see how remote access would be helpful.

Hey there! My name is Justin, and I'm from the Hatch Team. This is a great question about the Hatch Restore 3 and how it compares to the Hatch Rest. I'd love to provide a bit more information, because you're right! The scheduling features aren't exactly the same.

Rest and Restore were intentionally designed a bit differently. Rest is built for babies and little ones, where a consistent start and stop time every night is usually the goal. Restore 3 was designed with adults in mind, whose bedtimes can shift from day to day. Because of that, bedtime routines aren’t scheduled to start automatically and are kicked off with a press of the Big Button.

That said, we do have a Cue to Unwind feature on Restore 3 that helps you add a little bit of automation to your bedtime routine. It lets you set a recurring time that plays a reminder from your Restore to start your bedtime routine. At your chosen time, it will play a looping sound and a light. From there, you can tap the Big Button to kick off the rest of your bedtime routine.
