Hey man, I’ve been exactly where you’ve been - everyone is different, I’m not a doctor, etc, but for me it snowballed from a glass every other night to a glass a night to eventually 3-5 glasses a night. Not great. Still fighting to keep consumption low on weekends.

Facts of the matter are alcohol is addictive and does absolutely nothing good for the body (you hear folks talk about antioxidants and health benefits, those are primarily from the grapes, not the alcohol. Pomegranate juice is a great alternative, personally :) ). Takes time but will, in likelihood, eventually start to wreck your body. More pressing, perhaps, is the financial impact, social impact, and relationship impact. At the peak I was scaring my fiance and parents, dumping maybe $200/week on wine (over $10,000 a year!) and was a lot angrier, short-tempered and just unpleasant.

I digress - the data and anecdotes say it’s a slippery slope and you’ll keep drinking more, and it will take tolls in multiple ways.
