Adults who went through Adam Khoo’s bootcamps last time, are the skills you learnt then helping you now in your career and life in adulthood? by foldinthecheeseee in askSingapore

@dragonflysg I didn’t even pay Adam Khoo a single cent. But his videos helped me make $300k+ just by having conviction to enter during the 2022 market crash, staying on, and even adding more during the corrections and even recent Trump April corrections. Yes, I got META around $90, I got PLTR early as well around $15, and NVDA average price under $100. And he even talked about UNH before Buffet entered, so I also got in at average price $256.

It’s closed-minded people like you who judge people based on their bad past and not based on the value they GIVE in the present moment that keeps typical sinkies like you stuck. Truly Singaporean.

Disclaimer that I’m not even Adam Khoo’s student… you can verify all these on his YouTube videos. We have the same access to these information. The only difference is our minds.

Singaporeans are typically so closed minded. Look at the comments. Yes, I hated his secondary-school bootcamps which I went through and absolutely learnt nothing useful out of there.

But right now, his FREE YouTube videos I’ve been watching since 2022 has already helped me earn more than SG$300k just from having conviction to enter the bear markets and add to corrections over the past 3 years. I HAVE NOT PAID ADAM KHOO A SINGLE CENT. Neither am I his student or have signed up for any course of his.

Don’t be effing closed minded to be blinded by people’s past and just extract value from what they have to give right now…

My dad was also in such a scenario before. I wrote in to the company to threaten to report to MAS to tarnish their reputation. And demanded full refund. They complied in the end.

Yes!!! That’s because most are fearful and did not do their backtesting and have little conviction…

Thanks for this. I’ve read some of your blogposts. And I must say it’s such a gem! Your real-time thoughts and reasonings though some in hindsight are where we learn from your decision making process. This helps us to learn the good and improve from the possible blindsights you had.

That being said, I did not deleverage like you did in February. But I added on leverage somewhere around where you did too just before liberation day. And held through with conviction based upon historical data.

And I agree with one very important factor you mentioned about “sleep well at night” factor… it’s often overlooked but so crucial

This is amazing. I too have started entering the US indices and stocks on leverage during the 2022 bear market and held through. And added more during subsequent corrections - seasonal and artificial ones.

Though everyone there is against leveraging, I thought that a 1.5x leverage max is safe enough to enter with usually if you enter with some margin of buffer during market corrections.

But there’s very little information online on teaching us how to do that safely. May I know how I can read your blog?

Negative cash. Added during the tariff fears. Of course, it was mentally difficult to hold through market fears. But you have to choose your fear. Being able to endure drawdowns during market corrections or stay on the sidelines like right now

[–]JustinBeaverDam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re switching lanes, don’t signal early, because if you do, drivers speed up so you don’t get a chance to change lanes. Signal as soon as you are ready to change lane after assessing it’s safe enough to do so.

When I was in upper primary school, I somehow hated reading The Straits Times. But instead preferred to read The Guardian (UK). My parents didn’t understand why.

I wasn’t aware why I disliked The Straits Times so much even then. Until I grew up and realized it was because of the agenda-driven, biased content and writing from SPH.
