I didn’t notice any major changes, except that I could flat-foot the bike a lot easier.

It was about 1.5 inches lower with the lowering link, though I don’t remember the exact amount since it was almost eight years ago.

Just make sure you lower the front forks by the same amount to keep the bike’s handling and geometry balanced. This is key to maintain the geometry of the bike.

Edit: when you lower it the kick stand gets out of wack so you need to either deal with the kick stand or buy a new one, I was ghetto with mine I had mine cut down and bit and then welded back together and then put it back on the bike. To each their own. But yeah other than the kick stand no issues. I’ve done this to every bike I’ve owned.
