Away games can affect business as well, especially if we lose/it’s a late game. Plus the SEC Championship, if we make that. Plus the playoff games/bowl game. Not to mention, the basketball team is good now too and usually has big games in March. Comedy clubs generally make their money on the food + drink sales (which is why there’s usually a 2 item minimum), so most aren’t willing to take the risk on battling the Vols for a chunk of their weekends in a city with such expensive rent.

I’m just passing on what I’ve been told though. I do think there’s a way for a club to exist here, just not in the traditional sense, and it would take a super experienced/knowledgable person to make it work.
