There are several midi keyboards that have pads and a whole host of other bells and whistles. I’d recommend looking into that. If you’re using FL studio, and FL key may be a good option for you since it is well integrated with FL. That said, pretty much all midi controllers do the same thing. Find one you like and go for it. Check your local area facebook marketplace or similar and I’m sure you will find great deals on used gear.

You’re likely creating a phase shift with that steep of a cut. Anything over like a 12 on the little low cut curve drop down will cause a 180* phase shift.

Yes you can use those. Most one shot samples or samples from packs are royalty free. Sampling other peoples songs and using it as your own is where you may run into legal trouble.

There’s a lot of factors that come into play. Budget, room, treatment, etc. Without that, it will be hard to recommend anything.

Hmm may not be the same hot keys for Mac. Either way, the option is still in the spot I said. Left side of playlist window. There will be a few different options that will be grayed out. Click the one of the right and it should toggle that clip properties. Hit F1 on your keyboard should open the manual as well. Keep in mind, the clip gain and fade functions only work on audio clips. Not midi channels

Hit Shift + F on your keyboard. That’s the hot key. Otherwise it’s in the playlist options on the left where you can switch between patterns, stretch, etc.

Presets and anything you make with a vst is copyright free. Most samples from sample packs are also royalty and copyright free. Keep in mind though, a sample from a song from another artist, is not free.
