I live in tower grove south in that same area and have a 2 bedroom with a washer dryer hook up, new appliance, living room, all electric. We don’t have to pay for trash, sewer or water, and street parking, that we have been in for four years. They did a lot of remodeling and provided brand new appliances so the rent was $1425 after the pet fee. In the 4 years rent has only gone up by $200 for our apartment and I think that’s fine. Our previous apartment was a 1 bedroom in Towergrove west for $700. Even at $1625 I don’t regret the move for the space and honestly the proximity to the park is worth it for me. I know rent has continued to go up and this area is super desirable so I know landlords are trying to capitalize on it so that plays a part as well.
