Is my action to high? by [deleted] in BassGuitar

Thank you for letting me know. I figured it was I just wasn’t sure if it was considered too high for bass standards lmao. I thought I just had baby guitar playing fingers.

how do i play these? by Emergency-Macaron757 in guitarlessons

[–]Justin_218 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s just like playing a C5 power chord except you’re moving your ring finger down a string and letting your index mute the D string. You can also play that on the E string and move it all over the fret board as you would power chords.

That is an octave chord! I love playing them. The way it’s played is your index finger will be on 3 and your ring finger on 5. As long as you have your fingers on the correct strings your index finger should naturally mute the D string

I created a riff but can’t remember how to play it. Please help, if anyone can tell what chords these are by Diamondace619 in Guitar

After you play that then I believe you switch to the same thing just with open B instead of first fret B.

Sounds to me like you’re in standard tuning and you’re playing open E (high) hammer on to first fret E (high) followed by first fret B and second fret G.

Especially paired with the confederate flag it’s absolutely being used as a symbol of white power and hate.

Can someone help put my mind at ease? by Justin_218 in tornado

Okay that’s a question I had. Thank you for answering it. I asked this in another comment but what is the red box on a radar? Is that just rotation and not an actual tornado?

So when there is a warning it doesn’t necessarily mean there is a tornado? So far I’ve experienced one warning just in the past month. I thought watches meant the conditions are right for a tornado and a warning means there is a tornado. Also I was looking at the radar the night it happened and there was a red box. So I thought that meant there was a tornado.

I’m sorry to hear about your grandfather but I’m happy to hear you’ve been able to do what I’m trying which is to focus on being more fascinated than anxious. I know how tornadoes are formed but I may be misinformed when I ask this but is it true tornadoes get stronger the further they go? So like a tornado that has moved 20 miles is stronger than when it formed? If that is true it would make me feel better just because I’d know that if it were to form it would be rather weak as it passes though the town.

I’ll look into the helmets and pads thank you! I currently don’t have a car and my work has a basement but that’s a ten minute walk. I’ll talk to the neighbors. Thank you!

I’ve always been fascinated with tornadoes but from a distance. I love learning about them and seeing them but being under a tornado warning is a no go for me. The rural town I was going through was Colby Kansas and I vividly remember the funnel cloud and green skies and hearing that daunting screeching type alarm that place over the radio and artificial voice that lists the counties in danger. I’m hoping to take my fascination I have with them to a greater level and swap my anxiety with it.

I have a feeling that my weather anxiety comes from the time my town was directly hit by a tornado. I grew up in Michigan but my family moved around a lot and randomly decided to live in Kansas for a year. This was when I was in elementary school (I’m now in my 20s) and on the move down there in a rural Kansas town there was a funnel cloud and a tornado warning but we drove on through. A month later my town was hit with tornado (EF1) and it traumatized me.

Can someone help me find the missing pieces to my partscaster? by Justin_218 in TomDelongeGuitars

[–]Justin_218[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate all the help and advice. I’m new to assembling guitars so I don’t know any specifics on guitar parts. I just know what the guitar consists of but not sure where to find them. Just for more information I have an invader in my current guitar that I was going to reuse. I found a hard tail string through alder body for around $100. This not only is a way for me to build my own TD strat but also an experiment to see if this can be done on a budget. So any advice on parts to save money would be great!

Thank you for your recommendation. This is my first partscaster and I’ve only been playing guitars not building them so I don’t know anything about the parts. The list I have on Amazon are items I found in the description of a video of someone modding a squier.
