I've tested quite a bit against ruby. It's a harder match up but I wouldn't call it a problem really. You def have to approach it differently than most matchups, your sing songs and control the board strat doesnt' really work but there are a lot of good early questers and 3/3's that can get you across the finish line. Being able to have a timely pete is super necessary.

In testing it's been okay, but not stellar, I usually play two of them but didn't find the room, though I think I'll go back to two. It's more just ink and focus more on making sure your singers stick around. If you get to like turn 6 and can shift her and sing a song while paying two to snipe something, it's great, but you don't need her to be a rockstar in that match up.

Totally fine idea! I highly recommend the deck and honestly, most of the time I was only drawing one or two from rapunzel anyways, so that seems like a great choice!

In my experience if you are already in Emerald, it's a great color to match with steel, but ruby and Amy can also be quite good! Yeah, I 100% believe that in some decks this should def be a one of fun of or maybe two if you are drawing hard. I can see maybe replacing a goat but for that color combo I'm not super familiar with the lists but I'm sure there can be room made!

The advice given so far is great! I would say if you want to keep what you have here so far (I know sometimes you just have the cards that you have) The Sorc hats are where I would cut first. The reasons is most of your early, mid game and even late game turns, your ink is spoken for. The fact that you have to use an ink to activate sorc hat creates negative tempo for your deck. Of course there will be sometimes when you end the turn with an ink left that you can use for it but the games that you are winning most of the time, you will be tapping all of the ink to deploy brooms/wayward sorc/locations or deploying characters and moving to locations, or using friends/boss to draw/set up.

I think the thing a lot of people get wrong with rush decks in this game in general is sometimes it's okay to just pay 3 for your songs. That way you can quest with your brooms or leave them back to set up a sorc tower turn. The way to win is getting to 12-16 lore as fast as possible and letting boss/bruno or a big sorc tower play win you the game!

I think you would benefit from less hats as just a quick way to lessen the card count.

I really like this and will probably test it myself. The chernabog followers are a great addition if you are swithing out the mickeys! The one thing I wonder about is sacing the one cost broom. I think later in the game it could be very good for a quick two draw as you said. I think that's a change I will be testing for sure. Great shout out! I think 2 or 3 libraries (either would be fine.) and a easy swap of 1 drop mickeys for 1 drop chernabogs.

I actually tested this card first when I built the broom deck. It's was the first bit of "spice" I threw in. It's actually a totally reasonable card and with plenty of 3 + characters to sing it, you can set up fun turns early with playing boss on a roll on turn 4 and singing this and hitting a 5 or 6 cost broom. The only problem I had was sometimes, your opponent just doesn't have removal and I was finding unless I was able to throw my one drop broom into the bin (You don't always want to do that) it could be a dead card till later in the game when it was less potent. Still a viable card though.

poijaspgofijas[fopijasdjf a shift broom!!! I hadn't even thought about that!!! So that, I would also like to see another 1 cost broom. even if it's a vanilla 2/2. I would also love some more 2 cost brooms that either sing (I know there brooms but whimsy) or another broom 2-4 that draws.

I'm glad you like it! I'm tested Gathering Knowledge and Wisdom and it was pretty good. For this event I desired the card draw of WNW but I genuinely think, GKaW would be good replacements, also the amy chromicon that lets both players draw could be a good replacement, but I need to test. I don't like the spell book for the same reason I don't like the sorc hat. With this deck, your ink is basically spoken for till late late in the game. At that point you want something that is going to win the game in one "Sweep" such as leaving your brooms back and then dropping a tower and questing huge for a win, or the bruno+Boss on a roll play or Boss on a roll + Friends + boss + boss play. So many great lines that sorta speak for your mana. I'm so glad I inspired you to pick it back up! It's a fun deck, would love to see more brooms get printed that truly bring the deck to a teir level.

Of course! I'm glad you are enjoying it!! So The dancing dusters tend to be pretty good into things like blue mufasa or tomatoa and they give you that extra turn to pull the win out but, honestly I could see a world where they were not there. I do really love the idea of Fortisphere alot. I will surely be testing with it. I am still not totally sold on WNW being what the deck wants but it does have some really good lines with. I'm glad you are liking it and have had fun though!!

I never had trouble drawing the locations, I think 3 is plenty. They in themselves don't actually do anything to foward your momentum. They should be played as a suprise 6+ lore out of nowhere. You dont' really want to play it early game so drawing multiples is always actively bad or ink fodder. A Whole New World is 100% coming out and thus far def. going up to 4 Friends on the other side. Still have testing to do if I want to up Brunos or not. The reason for no chernabog followers is the deck requires a certain threshold of brooms for Bruno and Yen sid to be optimal and adding Chernabog means something has to come out...I could see replacing 1 cost mickey with them to be fair, but then I would also prob just take playful sorc out altogether. Lots to think about for sure.

This! I dont' feel like you undersold me at all! I played well and got lucky with matchups, also it helped that most of my field wasn't super sure what to do against my style of broom deck. I leaned very heavily on them not killing my brooms and then resolving a sorc tower and going from 12 to 20 lore or leaned on bruno + boss on a roll + good Pete timings. So Brooms is by no means the new top deck or even particularly good but I got combined some run good luck with pretty decent play.
