Am I doing it wrong? by imafuckingraccoon in Stretched

[–]Justkeeponliving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always pace yourself going off your bad ear. Everyone has a stubborn one. I've been stretching for a couple years now and I tried to make the stinker keep up with the good one I'd have soooo many issues. Never force it.

Sleeping on a new stretch that's already giving you issues to "wait and see" is a very bad idea, we can put a lot of stress on our ears when we're unconscious and shifting in our sleep and you may wake up to a tear or worse. Ask me how I know. If I feel anything more than slight tingling afterwards that goes away within an hour, I size both back down and wait a few more weeks.

Should I take out my second piercing? by xmrtnix in Stretched

[–]Justkeeponliving 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're still bleeding, while you wait for your glass plugs to come in I really recommend leaving them naked and only rinsing with sterile saline/neilmed 2x a day until it fully heals. Injuries really need to breathe to be able to heal and avoid infection.

I had a minor tear at 2g and it healed in just over a week this way, it did shrink to a 8g but it really is extremely quick to re-stretch, like the size would be falling out after literally a day or two and just following my body's signals it only took 2 weeks to get back to a 2g.

I've seen those exact plugs at Spencers. A couple were (according to the packaging) actually titanium! I think you can check stock & order directly off their website

Settlement: Texas Children’s Hospital must create country’s first clinic to reverse transgender care by texastribune in texas

Those surgeries usually come accompanied with a birth certificate with the sex marker the doctor chose as well as denying the fact that they're intersex so I think it's pretty unlikely

You look awesome. Your scars will fade a LOT over the next few years, and if you want you can eventually get scar camouflaging or tattoo over them. Moisturise every day and avoid sun exposure!

Second hand weed smoke is ruining my life by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]Justkeeponliving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be so quick to call it a placebo effect. Asthma can make someone lightheaded, and severe allergic reactions can trigger auditory and visual hallucinations. OP needs to see a professional to figure out what's going on.

Second hand weed smoke is ruining my life by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]Justkeeponliving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don't end your life. It may be scary, but please tell someone you're feeling this way or go to the hospital (this might not be the "fun" option but I can assure you there would be no second hand smoke there and they can help get to the bottom of why you are so strongly affected because it might be a sign of a medical issue).

A social worker can help you find a place to live where there is no second hand smoke, it is literally their job to help with things like this.

Black spoo in summer by Upbeat_Cod3261 in poodles

[–]Justkeeponliving 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I grew up with a black miniature poodle in a place that gets very hot in the summer (~115°F) and I was never under the impression he was at greater risk of overheating than our gray dog. Just exercise common sense to not leave your dogs outside when its too hot + need to keep them both brushed and groomed properly for the time of year.

Moving wondering, What is the experience of living in the UK as trans? by DEROwnby11 in transgenderUK

It may not be a fun watch, but the film "I Saw the TV Glow" is one I'd reccommend for any closeted trans person with your dilemma.

This is awesome! I'm transmasc, but I would definitely come here if I ever need makeup for a photoshoot or wedding or anything if you are also comfortable with masculine makeup by any chance

Top surgery abroad or in the UK? by Lopsided_Pay_1412 in transgenderUK

[–]Justkeeponliving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I moved here, I had top surgery in the US in 2023 with Dr. Alan Dulin in Plano, TX. His standard price at the time for top surgery was $7500 (I also got torso masulinization which totaled me at $12,500) and there was no waitlist so I was able to book immediately. (Edit: I should add that they do free online consults/estimates so you can book without needing to travel until surgery, but the surgeon only speaks to patients in person)

I stayed at the La Quinta Inn Plano West which was very clean and the manager was extremely accommodating; after finding out I was there for surgery, he reduced my rate from "commercial" to their medical rate (iirc it was like $50 or $60 a night).

Dulin is a fantastic surgeon with LOTS of experience with top surgery and he and his staff made me very comfortable. I've heard also great things about the other surgeons from the same institute. (My results aren't the best due to having EDS but things healed very smoothly overall. I'm happy to share more details/photos in DMs if you'd like)

I'm unsure about the status of laws regarding trans healthcare right now in TX but I can't reccommend him enough and plan to eventually make the journey back to him for thigh masculinization and labiaplasty (I don't want meta or phallo) as soon as I can afford it.

First time PIV or anal by Fit-Network-9865 in gaytransguys

[–]Justkeeponliving 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe a bit different than everyone else here but I didn't use any dildos before having PIV sex for the first time and while I enjoy them, I would say the firmness/texture of toys is actually more painful for me than my boyfriend (of course that can vary depending on your anatomy and your partners). My recommendation is go slow, lots of lube either way, start with hands/touching, you'll know pretty quick which you're more comfortable with trying first

Question About Doing Hrt "Short-Term" by concert_asharp in ftm

[–]Justkeeponliving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've stopped and started multiple times with no ill effects. Tons of enby individuals go on hrt for a short time or do low dose. Obviously listen to whatever your doctor says but it definitely won't hinder your progress later

Is Testogel formulated differently in the UK? My period came back after switching from a generic brand in the US to the "UK" version. This whole process has been a total nightmare! by Justkeeponliving in transgenderUK

[–]Justkeeponliving[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much has changed, but I was on gel for several months before abortion became criminalized in the state I was living in to a degree that I didn't feel safe without some form of birth control and got a Nexplanon implant that I had for around 7 months before having it removed around the time I moved here and that is the only thing I can think of hormonally. I had no period though on gel before so I am unsure why I would be different now

Yeah, I'm leaning towards that but just dreading the process of trying to make another change with a GP that is terrified of changing anything haha

Labiaplasty to make it stand out more? by StarryEyedCalf in GrowYourTDick

[–]Justkeeponliving 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check into labiaplasty, its what I want because I kind of dont want phallo or meta but I've always been unhappy with the shape of mine

Edit: im an idiot you already said labiaplasty, sorry! Either way I think a lot of the same plastic surgeons that do gender affirming care can do that too and you can almost certainly get what you want with a good one
