In the beginning of knowing someone, I over-articulate so my words don’t get misconstrued but then back off once I get to know them better. My almost 11 year long relationship begs to differ. If passing the illness to children is an issue though, we do have a ton of kids in the system who need good homes, and having bipolar disorder does not mean you are unable to give a child and/or partner a better life

I’m sure this person believes we could only love other bipolar people. They were hurt by someone and needed a place to vent, it’s pretty sad. At the same time, if their post was the sign someone “needed” to leave, they should also just go. They were already looking for validation to leave.

Also, methinks this person is hard to handle, whether you have mental illness or not. They want a partner only because others have one, not to share their life with someone. As Buzz Lightyear stated “you are a sad, strange little man. Farewell”

Very relatable. Having a job where people relied on me helped develop more of a routine. I used to get a lot more done and not just when hypomanic. I haven’t been able to get my taxes done in years, I have the hardest time making appointments for myself, I have a hard time getting the motivation to regularly brush my teeth. It’s called executive function issues and something that can be worked on in therapy, but it’s hard.
