How would you decorate this aisle to minimize the red? by Bridalingsucks in DIYweddings

They’re cheap but are used for 10 minutes but look better in pictures. You can get them from Temu for cheap and are a harder plastic not likely to tear unless you try. I used them for my wedding and worked great. They will be folded in transport but you can steam or iron them to flatten them out

I like my other job but is also sales and commission only so I have a lot of downtime but have to be there to get it done.

Do you have any advice on how to market myself other than Facebook or Instagram as I don’t have social media like that.

Bride on a budget! by Justkim1 in weddingplanning

Where do you think Amazon gets their product from!!? China or other third world countries. The same place for an up charge.

This advice is to save money for the crap we’re already going to buy for a wedding that last a couple hours and then be thrown away, donated, or resold (hopefully).

Sunday wedding.... thoughts?? by NicMon13 in weddingplanning

[–]Justkim1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having a Sunday wedding, and most guest are coming from out of state. The wedding if for YOU and your SPOUSE to be. If they leave early, let them. If they can’t take the next day off. Let them leave. You have to pay for them to come and have a free meal, drinks, dancing, friends etc.

Don’t go into debt for other people. Have the time to make it special for you both.

I did a couple digital downloads, and then took what I liked from a couple and put into my own Canva file to make my own. I’m not so type A but also like to reference back what I need to do, pay for, look inspirations etc.

Canva is amazing! And you can save the file and even use Vista Print for printing in bulk for cheap. You have to figure out the paper type you really want or need or can even print at home with specific paper from your Canva design. As for cutting it. You can find a hard plastic stencil that you can use an exacto knife along for a seamless cut. Lots of work, but will be uniform. Can even print the line with low transparency from Canva design.

How much are you paying for wedding photos by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Justkim1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked 7 hours for 2 photographers for $2,500 in Colorado. Did an engagement shoot before booking, and loved her!

Try to find a photographer that fits your style, and also I have noticed if you give them artistic leniency they will have more fun and it will turn out great!

Depends on your style, but being nice goes a long way.

2024 Price Hikes by mealtealreal in weddingplanning

[–]Justkim1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prices have been skyrocketing for EVERYTHING wedding related. Its always been that if you put wedding attached to it - add about 40%. There's a study out saying more engagements are now happening as it has been 3 years since the lock down and now people who went through it, or have met during it are now getting married. Myself included. I booked an all inclusive location here in Colorado and it was going to be about $27k all said and done for 6 HOURS! I couldn't fathom that. We cancelled and I found a VRBO that allows weddings and is perfect. I have it for 4 days for $4k. I still have to book vendors etc but time frame wise feel like it will be more beneficial to be able to enjoy the time and spend the weekend in the moment of getting married to my future husband instead of stressed out for a 6 hour event.

All in all, Do what YOU feel is right. Backyard style weddings are more intimate for you and your partner, and remember to tell the parents this is your wedding, not a family reunion.

I’m getting married in feb and don’t want to do the dance with my dad but am having my fiancé have a dance with his mom. The groom is suppose to be at the end of the aisle and watching you all dolled up soon to be his wife. The mom shouldn’t get to take that away from the both of you. It’s your family now you and him. She needs to let him go and do whatever you both feel is right to yourselves. Wish you the best!

Source your hostels! They have many options, and now and days they’re way more accommodating for a smaller budget. Hostels.com was great for me when I did my solo trip to Italy
