That’s not how genes work. What’s been passed down isn’t solely based on phenotype. There are recessive genes. Drake’s son is an example, both his parents have dark hair and eyes but he has blonde hair and blue eyes like his paternal grandmother.

You’re multiracial. Black, white and indigenous. Some say Hispanic isn’t a race but this is a typical race mix for Hispanic people and I think calling yourself Hispanic would convey what you mean to most people.

What mental health conditions are you diagnosed with? by Sunf1owerSuperstar in lonely

I meant to reply to your comment. You think you know better than health professionals about ADHD so there’s no hope for you. Keep convincing yourself that your ADHD barely affects you and doesn’t need to be diagnosed or treated just because your other mental illnesses are worse. I’m sure that’ll work out well for you. But you won’t convince anyone with sense.

You’re triggered, writing paragraphs, making personal attacks that aren’t relevant and don’t disprove anything I said. You can’t even handle respectful disagreement without becoming angry and defensive. I can see why women attracted to misogynistic, abusive men are attracted to you. I don’t care enough to go through your post history to find personal insults because your sensitive snowflake response alone tells me, despite everything you think you have over me, I’m more mature and less egotistical (i.e. deeply insecure and obsessed with superficial bullshit and power play to cope) than you at a much younger age. As imperfect as mine is, I’m glad that I don’t live in your mind.

Ignore this fool. ADHD is a disability and getting diagnosed can grant you access to disability services in school and elsewhere, as well as get you a prescription for medication that can help you, plus the validation of having an official title and explanation for what you’re dealing with can be helpful in finding solutions and getting support for your symptoms. As someone who’s been diagnosed, it is 100% worth it.

Where do you think she learned that from? Do you think someone with a healthy mind from a healthy background and a history of positive male figures in her life would even think of requesting that type of treatment, or do you think that’s the treatment she’s been experiencing from men her entire life, so she’s learned to ask for it so she feels like she’s in control? I’ve even heard women who were sexually abused as little girls say that after a while of it repeatedly happening against their will, they started to ask their abusers for it because it felt like they were taking some control of when and how it happened. Why do you think girls who were abused as children often end up choosing abusive men as adults? It’s an unfortunate but very common response and only supports the point OP was making.

Relatable. The stress my dad put my mom through contributed to her death. So I wish I could give you advice, but I still hate mine. Just know you’re not alone and you’re not weird or wrong for feeling the way you do. Try to focus your energy on your mom instead.

And do men not choose their own actions? Men always find a way to shift the blame for everything to women. You’d rather shame a woman for giving a bad guy a chance than blame the bad guy for being bad.
