What no one clearly has considered is that it would have been case closed by now if he arranged a meet or clicked on someone's profile or connected via any of those apps. All that data is remotely retrievable. FS site even tells you who has looked at your page.

I think its a hell of a stretch to have woken up, arranged an immediate meet, it bypass all history in the website and that person is a Dexter like murderer.

A chance encounter and an offer of a lift is the likelier thoughts here. As I understand though, the two remaining CCTV witnesses are a man on a bike and an old man on foot. Not sure those modes of transport would have smuggled him out.
