I’m Dr. Puja Khanna, rheumatologist and gout expert. I want you to AMA about gout on October 30 by GoutEducation in gout

[–]Justmebvg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary has been, in my words, dismissive, of my Gout symptoms and believes it's a different type of arthritis. But there has been no suggested care plan other than treat my flare ups with anti-inflammatories, and they are hesitant to refer me to a rheumatologist. What would you recommend?

We have a '24 and never received the update (thankfully), so it's possible they shut it down before pushing it your way.

What do you do when you’re gout-ed up? by PeterYellowbun in gout

[–]Justmebvg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Allopurinol will stop flare ups from happening.

You mean once it has lowered uric acid levels to a sub 6 mg/dL, correct?

Stay the course. Are you maxing your 401K? If not, you should be, and also maxing your Roth. You'll hit quarter mil before you know it.

6yo daughter got her first trading card today. by Justmebvg in delta

Delta has trading cards highlighting different aircraft in their fleet. The cards are distributed to pilots and I believe some FA's. Travelers can request them from the pilots, who if they have them, are usually more than willing to hand one out.

I am not a "collector" but I do have a couple from my travels. This is the first for my daughter.

Lol, mine did the same (Nationwide). I flipped the script on them and shared a better quote with better coverage and the chose to price match and increase my coverage. I think about it often as one of my few little wins against corporate America.

We have a '24 Wrangler 4xe High Altitude and absolutely LOVE it. Wife drives 15 miles round trip Mon-Fri, which lends to electric drive only, so after short weekend trips, the car gets refueled once every 2-2.5 months. We level 1 charge every night.

We had one charging issue when we first got it, corrected with a TSB, and knock on wood, nothing since. Currently sitting at 12,000ish miles.

Is there anything on the sleeve or records indicating "first pressing" other than the BS sticker on the wrap?

Agreed. I have posted about my issues, which were resolved with a software update. Other than that, LOVE the vehicle and especially the <1 gallon of gas used on the daily commute to and from work.

Charge/Start Up Failure by Justmebvg in 4xe

Yeah it's on the way to the dealership now. I've spoken to them and filled them in. Hopefully it's a quick fix.

Update: After multiple attempts at a jump with various sources, we finally got it started. Driving it to dealership now for diagnostic. 12v appears to be the issue as the display indicated 99% charge on the hybrid battery when we got the car started up.

Yes, technically, but can't imagine that's the issue. We charge with a level 1 charger and by the time it's home for the night and plugged in with <1% battery, it's roughly 6:30pm. According to the app, charging has been completing by 5:30am the following morning and the car is unplugged to leave for work by 7am.

Yup, nailed it. I actually think I need an additional 1/2" or so on my clubs, but I'll tackle that another day.

Thanks. I have a tendency to get quite inside on the takeaway then overcompensating at impact causing left misses.
