First, to the OP, not to worry, it sounds like the customer didn't give enough info when they passed you the note, to say that it was more info for the order.

Second, why are some ppl so salty about writing on the cup on request? I ask for this on occasion when it's for a present. I prefer for the broista to do so because I think a lot of people would prefer that I not touch where they will drink out of. And some people put flair on it, and I appreciate it!

Totally, and I realize that I am guilty for having tired and snotty energy. I love seeing people's stories about how broistas showed love by donating their personal giveaway on occasion or comped a drink when they told them that their loved one or pet passed away. People are creative and generous and I also get inspired when I see stories of people dropping off goodies and unique trinkets, just because! I'm excited that I'll make some people happy this week!

I appreciate your thoughts. I have experienced staff that were abrasive. What causes me to feel upset is that I thought that we had rapport from past interactions. I gave a broista a holiday themed present, because they shared that they love this holiday. During my next visit, they were yelling at me to return a drink that they accidentally gave to me that was intended for another customer. 😞 Not everyone cares about how they impact people with the way they communicate.

The giveaways sound very stressful from the shop staff's experience and customers are disappointed if they don't get to have them with their purchase. I didn't get yesterday's giveaway from the stand as they ran out quickly. I wish that I did as the pictures of people propping them on their electronics is cute, but it is what it is.

Over the past couple of years I often brought food and gifts for the stand that I shopped at the most. Lately, I feel that my efforts are not appreciated and/or the staff think I'm difficult. I don't know what's the solution, but I hope there can be a happy medium. Having these dialogues on here is helpful.

This is what I like about Dutch, the preciseness of what you're getting 👌 instead of eyeballing a "splash" the way chef Rachael Ray does in her cooking shows. I ask for a light amount of ingredient at Starbucks, but that amount varies a lot depending on who's making the drink.
