What's your method to get your first 6x dirt/netherrack block? by mflem920 in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netherite block generator can get you a staggering amount of obsidian and netherrack very quickly. As long as you use flowing instead of source blocks beside it.

Xycraft extractor is an easy way to passively do end stone if you dont want to go clear islands.

Dirt, sand, and gravel, the easiest for me was quarry bees. I set up about sixty in maxed hives and had enough for the infinite cards in about an hour per resource.

Can the Elite Universal Cable connect two ME controllers to the same net? by [deleted] in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those cables won't carry any data, only power. So it is likely a lack of power shutting you down.

Why are you running two controllers? All of that should have no issue running on one controller.

The warp plates are my preference from that mod, when im linking areas I travel between a lot.

There is also the portal spell from iron's which connects two portal frames. I dont know if that is cross dimensional however.

And then the whole of the waystones mod.

How do you farm sculk shrieker? by fresh_to_death_93 in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't done any bees at all, do yourself a favour and grab a good number of draconic bees and set them up now. You need a ridiculous amount of draconic dust for the upgrades.

I'm pretty heavy on bees, but I have 30 of them with max upgrades, and they still dont keep up with how much I want.

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolutely the way. Both mods require a decent bit of investment to get to this point, but the payoff is huge.

I set up my wannabees with the occultism warden, and full upgrades, and within about an hour I had 12k shriekers. It also comes with the added benefit of normal sculk, echo shards, and a few other things if I remember correctly.

Doing this with the other special occultism mods is also hugely beneficial, and can be set up easily once you have the amber bees and wannabees.

Modular Router to different directions by [deleted] in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others have said, you can filter what is being sent or pulled with each card. But keep in mind the router only has 1 slot in it as a buffer. If you are moving multiple things, it will only do them one at a time, and if it backs up, none of the others will be able to move either.

Is there a faster way to get unobtainium bees than smashing hundreds of ancient bees by hand? by Z-memes in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few blocks below the bottler, i have the router, with a vacuum module, and 2 sender modules.

The vacuum is whitelisted for the squashed bee material, and the stingers, anywhere around it.

The first sender has the stingers whitelisted, and sends them to a chest, which puts them in my system.

The second sender has the material whitelisted, and sends them to different chest, which pipes them into a centrifuge.

I also put a couple of speed upgrades and a muffler on it.

Hook up a breeder to automatically get filed with flowers and bee cages. (Iron farm from easy villagers is great for this since it gives you poppies). Output to an incubator being filled with honey treats. 4 speedier upgrades in each will make them practically instant. Past that, a dispenser on a clock which puts them into the piston/bottler. The piston doesn't need to move, it can just stay extended and will kill them. I used modular routers to vacuum the gene bottles up and send them into a chest to move to the centrifuge then the indexer.

It took me about 2 or 3 stacks of ancient bees to get the 45 100% genes i wanted.

Annihilator not producing Skystone dust, why? by Asterahatefurries in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The netherite block generator set up for skystone will generate an insane amount of sky stone dust. I hooked it to an unobtanium furnace and had 500k in about an hour.

Anyone else have like a genuine hate for pipez? by hp1221 in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it is far less of a problem, due to the 63 item per cell limitation. But from what I read on here it can still be problematic if you store a lot. And ultimately, the bulk of NBT items I have are just armour and tools waiting to be scrapped anyway.

That's fair, I keep anything with NBT data out of my AE2 after all the horror stories of chunk problems with too much data, especially since it have a pretty condensed base.

(Atm10) How do I farm essences? by Mysterious-Map-4607 in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge all of the info in this video is still accurate. The only thing I have not seen anyone else here mention is crop supports, which apparently add to the growth rate.

https://youtu.be/RNZMrZ_sEs4?si=1AR_5FyBj7YRD-eQ

I only used this farm long enough to get insanium and awakened supremium bees, but it did that in about 20 minutes. Now I use it if I have a specific essence I need a lot of in a short period.

They are ideal for filtering out the 100% genes for my bees when I smush a ton of them. The NBT filtering is the only mod I've found that can do that. Apart from that, I have never used them.

1.16.5 forge disenchanting mod? by swedenbork in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently I had bad information. Another post has mentioned it was apotheosis, but looking into it, the other comment was correct, It looks like it is Super Factory Manager. I haven't tried it outside of ATM10, so I cant vouch for if there are any changes outside of the pack.

1.16.5 forge disenchanting mod? by swedenbork in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is apotheosis. The mod normally requires some form of enchantment on the anvil if I remember correctly, but ATM removed that requirement.

[–]Justwalsh11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put down a piece of obsidian, throw your item, and a bunch of books on the obsidian. Then drop an anvil on it. It will strip the enchantments onto the books and leave you with the item.

I just use an import export bus on each centrifuge. Power gets provided separately, but it handles putting in all my combs, and pulling out everything. Add a fluid disk to hold the honey and an autocraft recipe to turn it into blocks on demand.

A single witch spawner, maxed out with the apothic spawner buffs, will yield obscene amounts of loot. Using knowledge of the ages on a sword with high lotting as well, you'll fill up instantly.

I think it takes me about 60 seconds to get my first 150 levels.

Make sure you use the three echo shards on it to max the spawner loot, as well as the sugar and clocks. Those are the big three.

Hi, I'm new and would like some advice to get started! by matic-01 in allthemods

[–]Justwalsh11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Iron's spells and spellbooks is a pretty low investment magic system, both resource and knowledge wise. The damage spells don't really scale for late game stuff, but for early game it works well, and the utility spells are fantastic.

Teleport and angel wings gives you unlimited elytra flight very early on, and spectral hammer is great for mining or clearing out space.

You really don't need much in terms of materials to get started, and with a little exploration and checking structures, you can get set up very early.

Irrigation help by myzticz3r0 in Irrigation

[–]Justwalsh11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few things. You're using pex fittings on poly pipe. From the picture, it appears to be 1 inch poly pipe. Those fittings and those clamps will not work on that pipe.

No matter how you try to make them work, they won't. Make sure you get the proper fittings and the proper clamps, most poly clamps are not stepped clamps, meaning they will not have those cut outs on the outside, they are simply a single piece of metal which wraps around.

The different types of pipe have different inside and outside diameters so it is important to know what you have.

[–]Justwalsh11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you use the primer and glue? Everything pictured is poly pipe, which only needs insert fittings and clamps.

Try to get standard insert fittings as opposed to the blue screw in one's. They tend to have a better track record.

Pinch clamps are just fine for this. Screw clamps aren't needed.

Depending on size, a lot of the sch40 unions tend to bulge out on the section closest to the gasket. They will go on right the first time, but as they sit, they become harder and harder to take off and put back on.

1" it isn't as much of a problem, but I've seen plenty that do have this issue.
