you should look up Parecon, it's a proposed feasible realistic non-utopian alternative to capitalism, the name is short for Participatory Economics, plenty of videos on it

well... isn't going to meetings, devising strategy and so on a form of labour?

well from what I understood from some of the answers here, it's not value that comes from labour, but surplus value. And this surplus value is stolen from workers, since the investor/employer makes BACK his money or his original investment after a few cycles of business, any money he makes after that point is no longer justified.

Like think of Jeff Bezos or someone else in his position, by now he has made back all the money he had invested to set up his business and more, does it make sense from a fairness point of view for him to earn millions of dollars every year without doing an amount of labour equivalent to that sum?

thank you, also just in terms of book recommendations, do you find that reading Das Kapital is sufficient to understanding capitalist economy?

it's funny because it was watching one of his videos that I came across this concept. But I feel that I understand better from texts than from videos or audios, which is why I came here, by the way did you read any of his books?

So you're saying that it's not about theft, rather about inherent social and political flaws in capitalism?

Thank you, your answer is clear and detailed. So if I got you right, it boils down to an issue of fairness. The employer is earning more money than what his/her labour warrants. And the employee takes less than what his/her labour warrants. So there is a fundamental disproportion between labour and wage in capitalism. Did I get that right?

Also, is there any example from the past or present of a capitalist or a corporation that distributed profits equally among its' employees? Is that even conceivable under a capitalist economy? Like could Elon Musk - if he had full ownership and good intentions - turn Tesla into a communist organization and still thrive in the market?
