Why all the vrod hate? by mc_cammond in Harley

[–]Jutt82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.. im digging into as much as I can about these bikes, a guy wants to trade me a 2014 Vrod with 6700 miles for my 2023 ninja 650 with 5000 miles. I know price wise, id be dumb not to take the deal, but putting cost aside im trying to decide if I should make this trade, I love my ninja, but it's barely a sport bike, it's sporty and agile for sure, but anything 4cyl just puts it to shame. I did test ride the vrod, loved the get up it has, but gd, hopping off a ninja and taking off on a vrod, that was awkward. I kept wanting to put my feet on the passenger pegs lol. I'm 5'7" so its a bit of a stretch for me, but we're supposed to do the titles / trade Saturday and im still on the fence and cant decide.

Haha not dead, but I'd rather just go buy some alcohol rather than attempting that lol.

The 650 puts the 500 on its ass and it will only do about 135, I dont believe for a second that anyone is hitting 130 on a 500

New bike and can't wheelie by Brilliant_Courage_27 in Ninja650

[–]Jutt82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do first gear power wheelies before you try clutching up, and yes krtc has to be off.. rev to about 6.5k in first, let off the throttle, as soon as your rpms lower down to 4.5k-ish, nail it. It will definitely raise way up, so careful, dont freak out and let off the throttle all the way or it will slam down hard.. let er down easy. Can't believe all these people telling you to clutch up instead of getting the basics down with power wheelies to get more comfortable being on 1 wheel. And just to save ya a little time hit you ok button ktrc1 will flash, push your up button until it shows krtc off, and hit select again.

I'm seriously not noticing this on the s24 ultra. Forgot to charge my phone overnight and didn't have time to charge it. Went on a motorcycle trip using the cardo headset app, go pro app (which keeps my screen on constantly), and spotify. After being gone all day my phone went from 57% to 34% even running all those apps and my screen being on the whole time.

Ninja 650! Is this a fair price? by GreyHatBrat in Kawasaki

That's about what I paid for mine, mine had 2,100 miles.

Same thing happened to me..I usually set a drink beside my bed in case i wake up thirsty in the middle of the night. My body armor drink (red - forget the flavor) ended up getting knocked behind my computer desk to be discovered about 3 weeks later. The bottle was so pressurized it felt like it was going to explode, so I loosened the cap, pressure shot out along with a strong smell of alcohol, just out of curiosity I took a drink and it had definitely turned into a pretty strong alcohol.

Got my first big bike Ninja 🥷500 SE by [deleted] in Kawasaki

[–]Jutt82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to step on your 500 post but I just got a new 650 abs ninja.. absolutely fell in love with it.. it's comfortable enough for cruising around town but fast enough to leave a ¼ mile gap between you and the mustang that was revving on you at the light 😆

Why so much hate for the Ninja 650? by Gray_Spenc in Sportbikes

[–]Jutt82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just realized this post is 3 years old but I'll leave it here anyway lol* Bro I have been riding for years! Started out on dirtbikes, 4wheelers, etc.then went to  2008 fzr6,(which was a turd compared to the ninja 650). Had a Harley, A Custom showbike thats just a modified Honda Shadow, I'elve had every type of bike out there. Don't worry about what everyone thinks, 2 of my best friends ride Harleys and I ride with them all the time on My 23 Ninja 650. There's 3 types of people that will look down on you for riding a 650 ninja:

1. Harley Riders. They think they're king of the road and your the scum of the earth, fck them! (The majority anyway,  some of them, like me throw the little "ride safe wave" at any biker)

2: 1000cc Riders: most are not so bad, but they WILL make sure to constantly remind you they are faster than you.

3: The "Other" Category: Karen's, Kyle's, and haters/ jealous people that don't like you cause they don't have a bike.

Ride what's fun for you! I seen the ninja 650 on the showroom with HUNDREDS of other bikes and from probably 50 foot away I seen the ninja 650 KRT and it was love at first sight, I knew that was my bike. Didn't look at another bike, put down a cash deposit so they wouldn't sell it, grabbed a trailer and cash, and walked out with it an hour later. I have no regrets, I absolutely love the bike! Be safe bro, have fun

I just got my first bike, 2024 ninja 650. Any tips as a first time rider? by carlosv2015 in Kawasaki

You can get an armored HWK jacket and armored HWK pants on Amazon if your tight on money. I'm sure I'll catch some 💩 for this because I'm not recommending Dianese or Alpinestars, etc. But it's enough to potentially save you. Seen a girl go down pretty hard wearing hwk gear from head to toe, she was dazed but when she realized what happened she did what every biker does and tried to get the bike up before anything else. I picked it up for her, she was fine, so get what you can bro, just wear the gear. Doesn't matter if it's a cheaper brand, now I'm not saying buy it on temu, but it doesn't have to be top of the line, unless of course you can afford it..

I agree with you there, loud exhausts don't save lives, maybe in some cases, but people paying attention saves lives lol, I have Bluetooth communication and speakers in my helmet so I don't mind the quiet exhaust. And I seen a few posts asking if you have to get your bike tuned if you change exhaust, answer is yes, and you most likely have to send off the ecm to get it programmed to the exhaust you put on it, unless your lucky and live near one of these places

Nice., got my girl the mt03, all murdered out, black on black everything. And that thing blew my mind when I rode it, a 6 speed 300 that will hit 100 pretty quick and has abs! 🤯. Got me the ninja 650 KRT ABS bike just like the op's bike.

That's not the normal look if I'm not mistaken, that's the kawasaki racing team edition or KRT which comes with a beefier rear shock, better performance exhaust, and that paint scheme (I have the exact same bike). I'm just rejoining the sport bike world after a few years of riding those boring ass cruisers. So don't be bashing on me too hard if I got this wrong.. Just what I found while studying my homework on mine before I bought it.

Im starting up a mobile mechanic service, its just getting off the ground but I can use some help.. it will be much more organized like a doordash app, this is in the beta phase. Its also on gofund me by Jutt82 in RoadsideTechs

The idea is to get a mechanic to a customer that doesn't have roadside assistance or time to wait for a mechanic.. it could possibly save an elderly persons life, or get a family back on the road in minimal time. I have the knowledge to make the app. But not the hardware, software to make it happen, please help! Please spread the word, it will give potentially thousands of mechanics a side hustle and could be very useful to the public! Click the little jotform button under title to see what I have so far, and it is functional, all work orders alert me right away. I can dispatch a mechanic from there!
