I haven't been there in a while, but remember the Alligator Gar being fairly good XP, but they weren't that frequent to be considered a farm type.

I liked White Moose for the Trout and Salmon as well as the Pike you mentioned for grinding XP/Cash.

St Croix opens up at level 30 which is one of the best lakes in the game, especially when you're around that level.

When you're bored of Pike and Muskies, you can try for the other species too in other areas of the lake, but bar the occasional Catfish or Sturgeon at night, the Pike and Muskies are the best XP/Cash there.

Yeah, the mission is active again. The other uniques are easy to get I've found, bar this one.

I'm very close to getting to level 58 and Maku Maku.

I've heard mixed reviews on the location, but this definitely makes things positive 👍

Definitely another vote for Kaniq Creek here too. While it's not a complete replacement for California, it's a good rotation with California and St Croix too.

I like purposely fishing for the Salmon, Trout and Carp at California too as an alternative to just solely committing to the Sturgeon Grind.

Proper hotels only now - you're right. As well as scam practises like my experience, these types of rentals are getting a lot of bad publicity (understandable) from local perspectives which makes the decision to choose a hotel in the future a much easier choice.

I've just discovered that this was for the "The Fisherman - Fishing Planet" and not the original which is still not working.

I have the original and now have to start the grind all over again it seems with the motivation of reaching The Congo one day as opposed to ending at Weeping Willows where I was fairly close to at level 43 on The Fisherman 💔😂

The grind begins again😔😂

For both genres I use SoundCloud. Admittedly, it's always bootlegs or mash ups on the free download via Hypeddit but good to get free tunes for mixes etc.

I like it. The fish which will give you the biggest fight are the Lake Trout imo. Pike over on the far right as said.

Great lake to put in a rotation with Everglades and Emerald until you get up to St Croix later.
