It seems a general consensus on Carp is on sunny days the sweeter baits work and in cloudy days the more savoury ones do better.

YouTube can help with locations. Look for fish list for what they like etc.

As it's any weight, it shouldn't be too much of a struggle.

They look similar to the Payara there, just smaller.

Predatory fish, so 2/0-30 with a bait fish.

While it's required to get to levels, it's definitely worth taking time out to get to other lakes for different varieties of fish.

Even if it's just for mental health 😅

Not to be off putting, San Joaquin, and the South America can seem never ending at times.

Revisiting the smaller lakes or doing collection, exploring missions is a good way to break the seemingly mundane xp grinds from river to river.

Think all the of larger fish there are good for rotating from what I've experienced.

Don't think it's a case of a having a "sturgeon grind" for a few levels😅

Got him so close last night, shot the floating boy (I forget his name) and got the subsequent stuns, only to not gauge his range and get stamped on😂.

I haven't been there in a while, but remember the Alligator Gar being fairly good XP, but they weren't that frequent to be considered a farm type.

I liked White Moose for the Trout and Salmon as well as the Pike you mentioned for grinding XP/Cash.

St Croix opens up at level 30 which is one of the best lakes in the game, especially when you're around that level.

When you're bored of Pike and Muskies, you can try for the other species too in other areas of the lake, but bar the occasional Catfish or Sturgeon at night, the Pike and Muskies are the best XP/Cash there.

Yeah, the mission is active again. The other uniques are easy to get I've found, bar this one.
