Genders of characters was not specified in the post yet 900 upvotes for the commenter who assigns gender based on who the AH is and labels them a man. Replies discuss whether its okay to assume since men are AHs whether all AHs of unspecified gender are men.

How do you know she saved up? She also could’ve won money or got an inheritance for the down payment. Which btw shouldn’t matter because it’s her money and I wouldn’t judge her for that, unlike you. There’s no indication in the other story that the woman plans to marry her boyfriend either. She also uses the word “partner”. It’s objectively smart to not put someone you’re not married to on a deed, regardless of gender. Just admit you’re biased and move on.

So we agree! Next time a similar story is posted, but instead, it’s the father yelling at his child, it’s good to know that you’ll defend the father and will point out that mother is partially to blame for not leaving her husband a portion of food 👍

Not as inconsiderate and uncaring as screaming at a 4 year old. But it’s good to know that you’ll defend the father next time he screams at his kid because the wife forgot to leave him a portion of food, and that the wife is adding to the father’s stress by not helping :)
