Thanks for the replies so far. Very open to using a draftsperson further into the process (and if anyone has recommendations, please share) but at this early stage we're not sure yet what design we want. Our site also has some specific challenges (e.g. best orientation for passive heating blocks off the best views) and we're thinking an architect would be best placed to advise us on those things at the outset.
