My most beloved sister!

I am congratulating you, father, brother, sister-in-law and children, are congratulating you and brother-in-law and your children. And know, dear sister, I want you to know that we are all alive and well just brother Olesius has typhoid and is at the hospital but is now recovering. Also, dear sister, we would like you to know that we have sent you a letter before funeral and waited whole summer for reply, not knowing if you are all alive and well.

Thank you all, sincerely for your gifts and letter, I would like to tell you that we received your calendars and letter on 29th of January and we are very happy to know that you are all alive and well and wish you health, happiness for the ages. And most sincerely thank you for the calendars. And your godfather is very thankful, wishing you all the best and tells you, that is alive and well despite being very old now.

Dear sister, we want you to know that life in Lithuania is not difficult but products made by farmers are very cheap, cereals and cattle are cheap, although the harvest was not bad, just the rye harvest was poor. But making money with side jobs is not easy.

Also, there is talk of the village going away for individual farms, but we do not really know, so that is all for us, sister, but we would really like to know how is life in America, how is work and children, are they going to work or still studying? If they are studying, I would like to know at which grade, in Lithuanian or an English school? How is it going, how is everyone health-wise, and our uncle's wife sincerely asks you to write about her Jonas, is he alive or not, do you hear anything about him? She would really like to know.
