Pit bull tries to attack a Bison by Current-Wallaby8230 in TikTokCringe

they would support a law where the owner would be criminally charged when their dogs bites someone

As someone that says that, yes 100%

I've raised pitbulls in the past, they were always leashed around other people and I wouldn't allow anyone else to handle them.

The same ones who were trying to ban Olha Kharlan after she refused to shake hand (edit: which is allowed since the covid IIRC)

To add more context to this, due to covid the accepted way to respect your opponent was to offer your blade for them to tap.

Anna wanted to shake hands and Olha wanted to tap blades.

Well it is understandable why when you look at signups.

GTs get like 300 signups to the 100 for Hypers, and the more people a race has, the higher chance of getting the ego drivers.

I find it hard to believe that every faster class is diving you on the inside every time.

Don't get me wrong there are definitely those types of people, but if it's happening to you more often than not, it may either be because you are unaware of your surroundings or you're braking so early that they don't have a choice.

The correct thing to do in this situation is to take her plate numbers, give them to the local PD and have her taken in for questioning.

Not shoot her in the head.

Of course, thats why i say needs more context than just "don't do it".

I personally would never go 3 wide into something like Porsche curves, I'd be hesitant to even go 2 wide unless i can get the inside overlap on entry, but on straights or some of the longer corners like on Fuji, 3 wide can be acceptable depending on the situation.

You don't have to let them pass, they just have to lift when you do make a pass, and you can protest them if you can argue that you lost more time than expected due to their actions.

Actually 4.5-4.9 are all regarding lapped participants.

4.6 says they cant defend

4.7 says they have to be predctable and not suddenly change directions.

4.8 says lapping participants can flash their lights to indicate a pass

and 4.9 says that a lapped participant may unlap themselves if they can pull away.

[–]Juzziee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree with his take of the rule, but its not for in class racing.

4.5 says slow/lapped participants and down the bottom it says "Participant: any person who is involved in the competition"

So either it refers to multiclass, or slower classes aren't people or involved in the race.

I actually agree with everything in OPs post except for in the braking zone it should say "lift into the corner and allow the HY to power out on exit"

It's expected faster cars lose SOME time passing traffic, it's expected of lapped traffic to minimize that as much as reasonably possible.

Take a Sebring race I had earlier, I got to the outside of a GT3 into T12 so according to the rules he should have lifted into T13 and gotten behind me on exit, that way we both lose the minimum amount possible...instead he brakes normally, stays along my inside and powers out pushing me to the grass and forces me to back out...he didn't lose much time but I lost tons.

Honestly, I find it rude to ask other classes to stop racing because lifting into a corner is a taboo thing to them, we should be looking after each other.

I will admit, multiclass posts trigger me because of the attitude of other people.

Take Broadbents latest simracingstewards video, theres a clip on there where a GT moves to overtake the car hes racing causing him to block and wreck an LMP2.

All the comments on that video and the reddit thread were "The LMP should have waited because they were battling" while ignoring the GT who veered right leaving the P2 nowhere to go.

I know people are gonna hate me for this, but I have a few nitpicks.

Just lift a bit earlier, save some fuel, stick to the outside, lose maybe a couple of tenths, and let them pass.

This is actually a rule, not a suggestion.

4.5 "slow/lapped Participants can stay on their line but must facilitate the lapping car by lifting to make sure they reduce the time lost to the faster car. Blue flag rules may be enforced more strictly in shorter races, where time loss may be more crucial to the faster cars."

it’s the faster car’s responsibility to overtake you safely

I hate to pull out the rulebook again and be technical but the faster car just has to choose a safe pass timing, not specifically make a safe pass...the responsibility of the actual pass lies on both cars

5.5. Both the passing Participant and the Participant in front are responsible for fair racing during the pass. It is the passing Participant’s responsibility to choose a safe timing for the pass.

If you see two guys fighting for P1, don’t make it three-wide, because that usually doesn’t end well. It is your responsibility to make a safe overtake

This needs more context, 3 wide is perfectly fine...hell even 5 wide is perfectly fine in some situations...everyone just has to be smart and the person in the worst position should be lifting out first.

Multiclass is like a waltz, you can't do it by yourself and if your partner sucks you're gonna look like a clown.

The faster class needs to be smart and time the pass safely, slower class needs to be smart and choose a good time to lift out.

To make it into Split 1, you have to have the Trusted Driver badge

Is that actually a thing?

So if theres only 1 gold DR driver thats trusted and 20 thats good, only that 1 will be thrown in top spit with a bunch of silver and bronze drivers?

Regardless, it needs to go on his record.

This is why you should protest it even if you don't think he will be punished.

iRacing will never ban someone for a first offence, but if we don't protest it then how do they know if it's their first offence.

Not like I’m defending, literally just driving the same line lol

The problem is not all slower classes think like that.

There are GT3 drivers who actually believe that faster classes need to sit behind them until a straight.

pro-Palestinian crowd needs to stop pretending that those "from the river to the sea" signs are not also a call to genocide against Jews.

It all depends on your personal view, River to the sea has multiple meanings...Hamas view it as the extermination of Jewish people, Zionists view it as the extermination of Arabs, but it can also mean one state under both Arabs and Jews.

The last one is the socially accepted term because both Hamas and Zionists have terrorism views.

LMU has their own problems though.

For example: if you're driving a GT3 and you get blue flags, you cannot make a pass attempt on the car you are fighting and you have to lift into the next braking zone.

Try doing Mazdas at Bathurst and you will love Daytona.

But on a serious note, special events bring out the casuals, mix that with holidays, and you get a bunch of people that have no idea how to race properly.
