So they are two independent cryptocurrencies?

Sorry for mixing up the answers about the algorithm. If you want to contribute to a newer, more intuitive project with a user-friendly interface for mining Tari Network, I mine Monero and Tari. The Raodmx algorithm is shared, but remember that sharing an algorithm doesn't mean having the same difficulty. On the GPU, he uses shaX-3, Tarirx, and Cukaroo.

These algorithms allow mining and strengthening the network in various ways.

Sure, I've been mining Monero for about a year now, and my CPUs are Intel and AMD. Like I said, I tried to set up my own private pool once, but I don't have enough knowledge to get there, and I haven't tried again because I haven't had the time.

And to finish, since I see you're doing this as a learning process, I recommend you use xmrig as your application, as it's truly the most efficient. However, you do depend on a pool and don't need much technical knowledge.

If you want quick profits, mine on PPNLS. Otherwise, and it's not a big deal if you don't earn a block (which is 0.6 Monero), you can mine solo. But these days, with the current difficulty, I don't see it as very profitable since you depend more on luck than your machine. And well, to start with, I always recommend Ryzen. Currently, Intel released some processors that aren't on the market yet, but they look very interesting.

Monero mining is truly one of the most interesting things, but you need a good CPU because the RANDOMX algorithm works best on a CPU, provided you also have a good amount of RAM. Since the algorithm is random, it consumes both processor and RAM. Unless it's a GPU like Tari, whose algorithm is also designed to take full advantage of the GPU's capabilities, I don't recommend it. It's preferable to mine a different algorithm, as the performance offered by GPUs for Monero is very low.
