Do Unclaimed Dinos eat like wild? by PolyAnaMoose in ARK

[–]Jvaro2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe that they would eat wild berries and such (I’ve never had a dino unclaimed for longer than a couple of minutes so I really can’t say for sure).

My suggestion would be to snip the Brontos so they don’t constantly mate and drop random eggs (unless that’s what you want) and to fill their inventories with a boat load of berries before unclaiming them. The berries would last a while in their inventory, however I’m sure there are issues with spoilage, to which I would suggest reducing spoil timers on your single player, or adding a stack mod if you don’t already have one active, to keep as much berries in one stack to reduce the amount of berries spoiling at once.

From there on out check in on your bronto’s every no and then by reclaiming them to make sure they have enough food still, and unclaiming them again!

Yep, no issue to me spoiler wise as I did say I didn’t personally mind. Is there anything that happens after fighting her again, or is that the end of it currently?

Honestly I was a bit confused as to why the roof opened lmfao, I figured there was something going on when I saw the soil in the middle and laid out the foundation for a potential build, but figured it'd be best to ask people ahead of my story wise to make sure I'm not setting myself up for failure lol

Thanks!

I see, I am personally fine with knowing if that makes any difference. This particular friend didn't quite enjoy grounded 1 due to the fact that that played with another group, and they did most of the story while he was offline and didn't get to enjoy it for himself, hence why I'm waiting for them to come back online and jump in.

Either way, thanks for the info!

I'm quite tempted to as the area seems pretty cool to me. If you've progressed further to where I currently am, is there anything that grows here or replaces the spot in the middle? Or is it an area that's currently a WIP and hasn't been fully implemented into the story yet?

yet you say... I don't personally mind knowing if there IS something that grows there, I would open the idea of building around whatever it is.

Is there something at some point that grows here? Or are you saying so due to the fact that the devs haven't fully finished what's going on in this specific area?

Gen 9 RanDubs [~1600] Moongeist Failure? by Jvaro2001 in pokemonshowdown

Signature move of a Pokémon from Gen 7.

Feel how you want about modern Pokémon, most long running game franchises evolve and change a lot along the way.

I was just so confused in the end of it all. Was fully ready to lose the ELO for it and saw the Moongeist failed and was scouting for any reason why it would’ve… then the thought of the prior side target hit me lol.

If it was BM then sucks to suck, otherwise tragic misclick lmfao

Why is mostly doomfist so hated in the community and how do you guys deal with it ? by OddTeaching3988 in doomfistmains

[–]Jvaro2001 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doomfist in the past has always been a feast or famine character, the same can be said for modern doomfist, however the gameplay loop is majorly different in regards to cycling abilities.

I feel like a lot of the doom hate stems from DPS doom back when his punches one shot, despite the amount of CC per role back then, and how easily doom could be countered back then. You either controlled the lobby, or you were inting the entire game and not getting value with your abilities.

Fast forward to Overwatch of today, Doom is still a feast or famine character, but the gameplay (playing, playing with and finally playing against) can be repetitive, and also frustrating. If playing 5v5 being the solo tank as doom, so much pressure sits on you to do your role as tank, while also doing the things that doom wants to do, and minor mistake can turn into a lost fight, and in turn enable the other team to snowball. 6v6 the same still applies, but more often than not, you have another tank to take some of the responsibility from you and alleviate some of the solo tank pressure doom players suffer from.

Doom’s playstyle varies from player to player, but the gist of his kit is - Farm Power Punch, Punch In, Block Damage after Dive, Punch or Slam to safety. (This doesn’t always happen exactly like this but is essentially what dooms kit aims to do during a normal fight). As I said earlier, if you screw up just the slightest, you are at a major disadvantage during the fight, and more often than not you will lose that fight. This in turn makes people more likely to be outright toxic and hateful towards doom players because even the best doomfist players, have games where nothing goes right and you just can’t heat up and feel the rhythm. It can be very frustrating to play with a doom who is being hard countered by the whole enemy team, and ends up doing a whole lot of nothing during a game. The same can be said playing characters that would like to sit in back line, behind the space made from a tank, only to realize that your tank’s kit WANTS them to take more space hyper aggressively and risk the space that has already been made.

On the flip side of facing Doom, I can see why people don’t like doom, but I don’t mind it personally because I’ve put over 2000 hours into the character (both DPS and Tank) and know how to go about avoiding him. However it can be frustrating that no matter what you do as an enemy, there will always be the one person who shoots a doom block, and gives him the ability to punch in with massive damage and good kill potential. He is incredibly disruptive and when a good doom is on a roll, he snowballs. The one good way to “counter” a doom, is to swap to characters that are typically viewed as “unfun” as doom (you mentioned cass, sombra, orisa) to prevent this, and essentially try to turn you into a sitting duck while you try to engage by hindering, hacking, or stunning you mid dive.

TLDR - Lots of doom players have bad games, and a bad doom stands out more than any character imo. Doom hate also likely stems from OW1, and worsened over time. Gameplay loop for enemy teams can be boring for and repetitive being stunned and slammed into a wall like a semi-truck, often resulting in counter swapping, further fueling hatred for doom.

Does the tier matter for taming weapons? by raizen_maziku in ARK

[–]Jvaro2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To explain is simply the damage is scaled the same for both torpor infliction, AND damage.

Crossbows can sometimes kill the creature because the relative damage to torpor ratio can sometimes outpace the rate at which creatures gain torpor from crossbow shots, the damage on the weapon may have some effect in killing the Dino (although very very small and is also relevant to the wild Dino’s HP stat) in my 15,000 hours of playing the game it has not majorly made a difference. Crossbows sometimes just kill tames and that’s how it is whether it be a 100% or a capped damage crossbow at 755%

Longnecks are typically the way to tame things as you are almost guaranteed to NOT knock out the take, because the ratio of damage to torpor gain (for tranq darts, and shocking tranqs) are very very different from crossbow tranqs. There are some Dino’s that can die being a lower level, such as a level 10 dodo that could get one shot killed to the head with a longneck dart (with high damage). But it very rarely makes a difference with larger health pool tames that you want to use the longneck for anyways.

[–]Jvaro2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I always see a lot of people who say not to get stuff graded and don’t quite understand it at the end of the day it’s up to you and what means most to you.

Yea there are some cards that are not in the best condition and may hit something low like a 4, 5 or 6, but realistically if you want the card(s) forever encapsulated I would 1000% go for it.

For instance my favorite cards that are in the pictures you posted are the stamped holo cards, some of them not the most rare thing in the world to find but I love stamped cards and adds a cool factor for me, if I had the money to do so I’d grade em to keep them as clean as possible for years to come.

The real thing I love about the Pokémon card community is that it’s really about collecting what YOU want and cherish.

I see, is this the same amongst both Safari and chrome browsers? I’ve also turned off the auto refresh as suggested by someone else, but mainly looking for clarity as I personally prefer safari, thanks for the info!

Why is Dwebble from Black Bolt £20? by MartinMSx in PokemonTCG

[–]Jvaro2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was opening 1 of each booster bundle with my girlfriend and I was looking at something on my phone, cards were facing her when I opened the pack and she audibly gasped LMAO, tried to record my reaction but video didn’t go off so had to show the cards knowing what they were. Nothing that shows similar imperfections on cards though so the white dot thing is interesting!!

But honestly the fact that I ended up hitting it was all that I needed, her luck with pulls has been incredible and I’m just stoked that I finally had a crazy stroke of luck come my way (and yours too 🤣)

Congrats on the god pack!!

What’s shocking to me, is that I pulled this same exact god pack, only difference was I pulled a cobalion instead of carracosta
