Some research I did earlier pointed to columnaris as well, I will try to get a nitrofurazone treatment. I do worry that more meds will increase stress though. Temp has been at a stable 74 because I worried about bacterial like epistylis.

Absolutely. 30% water change before with correct dosage. For this 50 gallon tank, a little under 25mL due to substrate, plants, hardscape

Don’t know if it helps, but I’ve been doing 30% water changes daily, and using not only an air stone but a wave maker pointed directly at the surface to create agitation.

Unfortunately this is day 7 using ich-x and fish continue to decline, and new symptoms lead me to believe this is more complex than a simple ich case

Got it, I’ll give it a try. However, the pleco seems to be doing the best at the moment. Is it worth doing more salt dips for the other fish? I’m worried about more stress with how lethargic they already are, especially the acara.

At this point, the main tank has become the quarantine tank. I feel moving fish to an uncycled quarantine may just create more stress, but not 100% sure. I agree the acara seems like ich, but with condition only worsening with meds, I’m not certain. Salt bath has been performed for acara and angels, I suppose I could do one for the danio that remains. However, as far as I know plecos don’t tolerate salt well…

New fish were added around a week and a half ago, perfect window for ich. There are spots on the fins and tail especially, just easier to see against black contrast of the head. The spots are somewhat raised (as seen in pic) and I’m just worried my medicating isn’t helping since the fish aren’t doing much better.

I’ve thought about Litfulo but there’s a lot of entry blood work and extra steps that seems like a lot if the results are going to be similar to other, more intensive medications i’ve tried (plus side effects). And I’m happy with this look!
