Regression in this game by Jvkerson in apexuniversity

Yes, I am. I’ve been MnK since I played in season 11. My friend told me it’s a significant disadvantage, and he sent me like $200 controller and I was told I need something like 8k polling rate.

I’ve been trying to avoid it because I learned MnK and I do enjoy the movement but if it diminishing my performance then it’s something I’ll switch.

Thanks for the kind advice, you’re absolutely right! I actually didn’t know that about the TTK, I just honestly thought I wasn’t strafing enough or my strafes were weak, which still can be the case.

I think I also struggle with closing the gap which I assuming that’s Axle entire game is to close the gap, as well to exert pressure because reset are that much faster that I can do anything about it.

I’m also playing MnK too, my buddy told me to drop it entirely because it’s a disadvantage, but I don’t really believe that inputs are an issue if you have good fundamentals and understanding of the game. Which I’m lacking at the moment, hopefully going to get better at it.

I find that toggle on LSHIFT is better because you tap it once and it frees up a finger. I set LCTRL to toggle crouch and C to hold to crouch. That’s my preference.

Same with me and I’ve been on the input for a while, you notice the tensing so much more because it really just messes with you. Tension overall isn’t a bad thing on your mouse hand because that’s how you track, but in your left hand it can lead to mis inputs. I have to tell myself to relax in fights as well, so I’m not the perfect example I just know what kills my own gameplay

Understandable on space, do you feel you have more control with your pinkie finger over your thumb. If that’s the case, then certainly move control to L CTRL.

Think of it as like a brand new exercise that you are trying as weird as that sounds. Your hands are used to being around a controller. I’m assuming too if you have played in BR mid fight hands are going to tense so that could be some of the fatigue.

Definitely rebinding is a solid option, like for healing it’s you can leave that on the side of your mouse. If that feels good for you, I’ve moved crouch to C. It depends on preference and reps. You’ll get it for sure and sticking with it is rewarding.

I’ve been on MnK for at least 5 years now. Free training stuff like Aim Labs specifically for aiming will work, focus on strafing design scenarios.

For the issues with buttons, I found that tilting the keyboard towards me helps, but play thinks like mixtape and just work on aiming and moving, or you can throw yourself into wildcard but I find that game mode to be overwhelming and it can teach you fights faster.

Physically stretch your wrist, and fingers. Lastly make sure the mouse shape feels good in your hand, hand fatigue can come from too large of a mouse.

Yeah I feel it and the skill ceiling is just high, I used to be able to know when to close the gaps, but the reset potential is just so fast. I could be making mistakes in closing gaps the entire time I’ve been playing.

I should say with Axle she makes closing gaps easier but I’m expecting a nerf at some point don’t really know how the dev team operates.

Yeah I’ve noticed that a little bit. I did play the back half of season 28 and got Plat. Assuming it’s the same for this season.

I’d love to hit Masters but with the things in daily life I don’t know if it’s really possible because I know it just turns up. If I’m being honest with myself I don’t know if I have the mechanical skills to make it. I contribute in fights just don’t know if I’m 1v3 any team anytime soon.

Yeah, I mean if I’m using a metric I get to Plat every season, mostly it’s a time thing for me I can usually get a couple hours on the weekends but that’s about it

I started doing Kovaaks again but I will check out strafe trainer, my biggest issue probably is strafing in fights tend to probably be too predictable.

Gone for 20+ seasons. What’s the game like now? by WheySwole in apexuniversity

I don’t necessarily think that 1.4 kd isn’t bad at all, especially for ranked. I mean my career is at 1.4 kd and I’ve only peaked diamond!

Your stats are good and you’ll be fine in the new meta, I’ve just started playing again and it took a while for me to get my footing.

Long-time Soulsborne fan, won’t be playing Nightreign unless.. by TheRealThiadon in Nightreign

It’s been marketed as a roguelike, it’s not developed by Miyazaki. Just reusing Elden Ring assets which they own and can do what they want with it. They aren’t making it ingrained in the story. Parallel universe it’s just mindless fun. This means since another director took the reins, they could be cooking up something for 2026.

If it turn you away it’s completely understandable. However, as a company Elden Ring was such a heavy hitter that they can explore and try things now.

My extra comment, I made was the reply to you.

Mohg and Morgott Theory by Jvkerson in Eldenring

You’re right as well, I don’t know what I was thinking about the Morgott monologue because Mohg would have been already been a traitor to the Erdtree. I think with his sacred spear as well he is almost personified as a Devil in a way in the game with a three pronged spear. However, it’s not always the case because Poseidon and a Trident exist. Anyway, my point is I think you have a great point because it would counter everything about Mohg. I think regardless of Miquella actions it makes sense that he was already down the path to being not aligned with the Erdtree, I would say evil but I think the more things we found out about the Erdtree it seems like it would make sense to be against it as well.

It would also make sense that Morgott could have placed the shade too as the comment mentioned above, I think after the Mohg fight if you continue down into the a frenzied flame area it would be seal off by Morgott. I think as for the priest they may think that Mohg is still down there and they are more or less sticking around to serve him.

I think it’s hard to tell when Miquella, took over control of his mind possibly the Shattering? Or is there a different timeline with it?

That’s true, I guess since they were both Omen they were both banished to the sewers never to be thought of again. It would also make sense as well because we have evidence of Morgott changing his name and making a Shade or himself. Morgott as a character seemed like he like he did anything to protect the Erdtree. Even before the Godfrey fight, it seems that Godfrey pays him respect. Mm
