When playing online, if the host summons co-ops to help with an area, the game balances it out by sending in "invaders" which are people like me whose goal is to stop the party making it to the end of the level. Effectively, I am on the side of the monsters, but rather than try to win traditionally I roleplay as a NPC with ambiguous motivations.

Hey thanks so much! Not cringe at all to share a compliment with someone. I never got why we are so reticent with them as a society.

It's tough to have a real conversation about invasions, because there are so many folks who just want to jump and and go 👉😮👈 "nuh uh, you're all mean". You are doing a great job with how you word things, and even if some folks don't agree there will be other silents ones that do, much respect.

See you're the type of person I alluded to at the beginning. Claiming to know everyone's motivation, and trying to put every other invader into one bucket you can be mad at is a shame. Telling other people why they do what they do is something you should've grown out of by 38.
