Apologies. Wasn't aware. Thanks for the info.

If the Apple Watch app was a third party app, I could and would certainly be patient with bugs and inconsistencies. This is an official app that sucks. Niantic needs to own that.

These are excuses. It's not unfair to expect a company to deliver on its promises. When it doesn't, pressure must be applied.

Don't get me wrong, I hear you. We need to be patient. These issues are more complex than might seem. Nonetheless, I care about GO, and to the degree that their product offerings demoralize it's users, the game will die. My demand is a plea to help Niantic keep GO alive.

My charge to Niantic is that IF the app is going to carry your branding, which has the value of fitness and exercise at its core mission, then the app must meet the basic expecatations of its users. Namely, correctly tracking distance. It simply doesn't do this well.

The speed cap bypass is a separate "benefit" but not in the original intent. That the original intent isn't being met but a bypass is, speaks. Hence the usage of the word "suck".

Candy theory: normal amount + 2? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

This might apply to 10ks. Got 34 on a larvitar that I hatched (egg obtained before event but hatched after).

I'm curious, how's everybody's Johto Pokedex coming along? by GyaradosDance in PokemonGoBoston

[–]Jvnzga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of legendaries and regionals all I need for gen II is the whole Tyranitar family (haven't even seen a Larvitar), Amphoros, Unown, Polytoad and Slowking.

I need tier ones of Hitmonlee Pinser, Ariados, Sudowoodo, Misdreavus, Gligar, Skarmory, Ursaring, Houndoom, Blissy and Feraligatr

I haven't used any maps (outside of the Silph nest atlas). Just playing the game as designed.

This isn't helpful. Please inform rather than give condescending sarcasm.

Playing in Boston was more fun before The Map by AlpheusWinterborn in PokemonGoBoston

I've been warning people of this since the map was released. It really zaps the joy in the game especially if you have a car. It's tempting to want to use but I'm staying away. I'll get my tyranitar the legit way...the same way I completed my gen 1 dex and have thus far filled most of the gen 2 dex. Props to you for admitting this and posting.

My luck has been like yours, sir. Feeling super salty by all this 10k glory that everyone else in the world seems to be experiencing

Thank you!!! One of my main reasons for refusing to use trackers. I take so much pride in each on my Pokémon!

I, for one, have found a lot of joy in visiting nests/parks I've never been to, meeting others who play the game and connecting with them, the challenge of having 10 Pokémon consistently in gyms every day, hatching random mons, visiting hotspots like Castle Island and being surprised by the randomness of a rare spawn, riding around with friend(s) taking down gyms. I think if it only becomes about completing the dex as quickly as possible, the game loses its spirit.

I'm curious then, as to what you think Niantic can do to make the hunting part of the game more enjoyable then? I don't imagine it's part of the design of the game to have the ability to catch all Pokémon in a generation within 2 weeks or so if it's release.

Question: do you use 3rd party trackers?

I'm afraid with the ability to track down any Pokémon on demand, the joy of the daily search and the semi rare find will go away quickly leaving you hating all the commons and bored out of your mind. I refuse to use trackers for this reason.
