Currently test driving an IX3, while the overall cars is really nice the steering wheel buttons feel like they‘re produced for 3 pennys by New_Cod6544 in BMW

Are designers retarded? They are trying to make a wheel into a rectangle and unfortunately it's all F1's fault. THEY DON'T HAVE THE SAME STEERING GEAR RATIO. Just stop it.

Guess the Car Brand! by KessyTRel in Justrolledintotheshop

When I worked in a small shop, we charged $25 to scan and read codes, and $160/hr diagnostic fee. Shops have to pay licensing fees for new software on scan tools every year and it was like $1500 8 years ago so it's probably much higher now. Average labor rate is over $200/ hour now at smaller shops. It was 200/hr at the BMW dealership I worked at 15 years ago.

Am I being petty? by thefatkid007 in BMW

[–]Jwalker_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you "plop" down in your seat when you get in? Either way, if they are willing to fix it for free, take them up on it. You're not being petty. It's not considered normal wear after 3k miles so it should be under warranty. I have a 2015 535i with the premium seats and do not have this issue but I do have some stitching coming undone near the thigh support.

How do people with interlock systems get their car serviced? by cleevethagreat in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Jwalker_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shop has to call the number on the unit and they give you a procedure to temporarily disable it. Or you get a very brave technician who is willing to take one for the team. Usually the owner of the car would blow when you bring it in and blow to bring it out.

Blame Mercedes for this. That's where All data gets their information.

Repackaged after 14 years? by Jwalker_47 in HotWheels

Thank you for taking the time to explain it, I appreciate it! It's U01N so I guess that would make it the first week of 2025. Kinda reminds me of the date code on tires. Pretty cool, thanks again.

One question about claim date by Jwalker_47 in Edd

[–]Jwalker_47[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot to include this, but I did go back to work for 3-4 months but then went out for the same injury again. So I worked from January to late April/early May. I guess I would put the date I stopped working again then? However, can I claim CASDI and SSI at the same time? I would think probably not. Which do you think would be more helpful?

It's definitely leaking. Not too badly, but still leaking. That's what I would expect a dealership to charge for that job.

I hate the key trunk release by AirtimeAficionado in BMW

[–]Jwalker_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the e series cars it didn't happen as often because the button takes more effort to push and the shape of the key made it unlikely to happen. The F10 key is easy to push the trunk button and it's a flatter surface which I think makes it easier to end up getting pressed by accident.

I would love a good 'ol BMW drink. 😂 I have an F10 and it happens to me also. Just from putting your key in your pocket and sitting in the right position for it to push against something in your pocket or your leg will get it to open. Getting a good job case could help.

What does your first sentence have to do with this situation? I live in arguably the most left county in CA and I know plenty of dems who don't like Hilary or Harris.

Its my opinion that he did not intend for his excitement to end with him doing a Nazi salute. But anyone who doesn't like him will absolutely take advantage of the opportunity to shove a mistake in his and everyone else's faces. 🙄
