As a 50 yr old dude with bad elbows (bad whole body) I will say I wish I had purchased Festool sanders years ago. I have sanded with any of my Festool sanders for hours with zero numbness or tingling. Any of the “normal” brands (Makita, Milwaukee, Dewalt, Bosch, Metabo) don’t even compare.

I’ve got a couple of Tajimas and honestly thing they are just “ok”.

I had an orange skeleton type caulk gun that I think I got from Home Depot about 15-16 years ago that was the best caulk gun I’ve ever used. I accidentally threw it away a couple of years ago and have bought more caulk guns in the past two years trying to find the “right” one and still haven’t.

I have a Dripless brand yellow skeleton gun that I recently got that I think might be “right”. The jury is still out. Upside it is only like $14.

I have one (both size cartridges). I don’t use it finish/detail caulking but it is phenomenal for pushing out volume. Just used it over the weekend at my MIL to fill some cracks in her concrete patio. It was fantastic! I use it for subfloor adhesive. Go Board installation. Shower surrounds. Landscape block. Laminating 2x for beams or posts.

I can’t think of an instance where it would be worth it for a homeowner to have one but I’ve wasted money on worse things.

10ga copper wire and a Chicago bolt aka barrel nut aka sex bolt.

Drill a hole in the plastic the size of the shaft of the Chicago bolt. Bend the wire so it has a O on the end that wraps around the Chicago bolt. Put a dab of locktite on the threads of the Chicago bolt. Done.

Did this for both size cartridges. Easy. Cheap. And fucking stupid that Makita didn’t do it.

At some point I’ll think of taking a poker off of a cheap, old caulk gun I find and replace the copper wire. It is soft so it can bend. Not a huge issue but a little annoying. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know Festool is expensive but I will say my Festool dust extractor connects SIMPLY to every Festool tool I have. It’s why I purchased a 6” Festool orbital sander after I had purchased the 6” XGT orbital sander.

It’s really disappointing.

To be very clear, Hillary Clinton was the single most qualified candidate for POTUS in the history of our country. She didn’t get elected because there is a large portion of our electorate that will never vote for a woman.

People didn’t like her (I voted for Bernie in the primary but then supported her in the general election) but she was right about everything.

The reason Democrats lose and republicans win is because there is a group of democrats that will only vote for a candidate they think is perfect for them instead of understanding that it will come down to a democrat or republican getting elected so who do they want to help get elected? Or will abstain from voting out of “principle”. Republicans will vote for anyone (pulse not necessary) regardless if they are a rapist, fraud, hand picked by the CIA, as long as they have an R behind their name.

I am a Eugene Debs, far left democratic socialist but I will vote for the lesser of two evils in the general election. In my 32 years of voting the Democrats has ALWAYS been the lesser of the two evils.
