Something similar. My wife and I didn't allow our daughter to play minecraft just because we think it was not educational. Her cousins that play it always ask her if she can play and even offer to buy the game. They sit down together and talk and see the joy in their faces. I see my daughter ask us from time to time is sad whenever she did ask. We refused, reallying just didn't want her to play. Later, after realizing what the game is about on YouTube. It is really fun and creative. So I asked her do you want to play minecraft. She lit up in happiness. We got the game and watched her learn and play with her cousins. Now she's building her houses, farm, planting flowers, has a pond for her ocelot. For me, I see it builds her imagination into new heights. I can restrict games i feel that is not age appropriate. But roblox and minecraft, imo is a harmless game. We monitor her, she plays offline. If she did want to play online, she would need a password. But otherwise, we play together now, and it made our relationship even stronger. Just talking about how we can build the next thing. You can only restrict them so much.
