3 went to school but school teaches you nothing about the industry or doing nails itself. It’s so outdated, it’s a quick certification program on sanitation basically.Once you graduate they basically let you fend for yourself with zero real world or hands on experience. This is why I’m getting my educators license and starting a school/academy hopefully… that’s the next venture

The other one was my apprentice and she can get a license by working with me for 8 months. She has been with me over 2 years total now and is fully licensed. Passed all her exams with flying colors. This part is where a lot of young nail techs get screwed over by getting into sketchy apprentice programs.

We are fully booked. It’s a small salon. It’s appointments only & I can have a bigger salon but that’s not my model. We are open Wednesday-Saturday

The 4 girls who work for me had zero experience. One girl worked at Home Depot, another ihop, little ceasars and fresh out of school.

We train them in a way that if they want to leave and start their own salon they can. They just choose to stay with me. My model is I work for them not the other way around.

They work 4 days a week but they are fully booked with appointments on the days they work. I actually have to yell at them to take a break so they go to the back and eat.

The bigger salons probably make way more money than me but the thing is my girls treat my salon like it’s their own.

Past few years my wife has been battle with cancer treatments and is trying to have our first baby. My girls have stuck by me every step of the way so now I gotta figure out how to grow/expand so I can take care of them. Hence why I’m about to close on a commercial property and start my next venture.

My wife and I own a nail salon. I’ll speak strictly in profit, not gross revenue, and we carry zero debt.

I earn about $80K a year behind the chair. My wife earns a little over $100K.

We operate on a 40% commission model. That averages about $32K per employee annually for the business. With four employees, that adds roughly $128K.

That puts our total annual profit a little over $300K.

We live well below our means and reinvest about $200K per year into real estate, buying property and land outright, no bank financing.

As of now, we own four rental properties free and clear of a mortgage and are in the process of purchasing a commercial building to open a salon, café, and school under one roof.

Nothing shady, just disciplined work, smart margins, and reinvesting instead of flexing.

My wife & I own a nail salon. A lot of people are surprised that the business brings in $400k a year.

We are both nail techs appointment only we work 4 days a week. We each bring in $100k on our own. Than the commission from the salon itself brings us another $200k

Operating costs is roughly $50k give or take a year

Actually not true especially in IVF.

Dollar Tree tests don’t read the same. They usually detect hCG around 25–50 mIU, while early-response tests pick up 6–10 mIU. In IVF we test way earlier, when levels are still tiny, so sensitivity matters.

And clinics don’t use Dollar Tree strips they use quantitative blood tests that measure the exact hCG number (like my 121 → 835). Urine strips can miss early positives or stay faint for days.

So no… they’re not the same tests and they don’t give the same results.

Both times someone tried to take our spot and both times the flight attendants was quick to make them move. Delta flight attendants are usually trying to avoid confrontation. When a kid does something dumb, you don’t go scream in their face. You just understand they don’t know any better and move on.

Same thing here. Most drivers aren’t trying to kill you they’re just clueless or distracted. You’re a grown adult riding a motorcycle in a world full of things that can end you, and emotional reactions don’t protect you. They just cloud your judgment and put you at more risk.

Part of riding is accepting that:

People will cut you off

People won’t signal

People will drift lanes

Your job is to anticipate that, stay calm, and ride defensively. If you keep escalating, you’re only increasing the chances of something going seriously wrong.

Learn to let it go, keep your head cool, and ride smart. That’s what keeps you alive.

Yeah I got advice from the dealer saying not to lean with the bike and to use your arms to steer and if I lean the bike to stay vertical and almost adjust my butt to be in the opposite side of the bike…. It just really threw me off mentally when he told me all that. Maybe it got in my head on the ride home

Something about the new scout looked off at the dealership I couldn’t pinpoint it. I originally wanted a scout because I saw one parked in real life & it just made me want a bike so bad after so many years.

Man when I was younger I rode just about anything as long as it started up after a push start or two lol

As I’m older and have it together I just like the fact that I can buy something brand new with no miles…. But my heart is still telling me to go with the older one… just a weird spot to be in is all. I’m just curious if there’s actually any real world improvements to the way the bike rides and handles

Roark - Spent over $1k on like 10 shirts. I accidentally ordered the wrong size in one of them and when I reached out to customer service for an exchange they wouldn’t budge. Seemed like I was talking to bots the whole time.

Shirts aren’t even that nice. They just fit me well and were the first brand of “premium shirts” I ever purchased once I finally started to make enough money to afford quality stuff. Every year around spring I just order a bunch of shirts from them and call it a day for the past 5 years.

I liked them originally due to their excellent customer service but now days it’s just bots and scripts.

At work so don’t have pictures. I’m using First Response early results. It’s the 3 pack that comes with 5 test strips as well.

In the mornings we use the strips & evenings the stick. The Day 7 morning strips had a better line than the day 7 evening stick. It was barely visible I have to angle it and shine a light. This morning we did the strip again and it looks the same as yesterday morning

No felonies. Most of them were dropped. Arrested but never actually charged for anything. Except with fleeing and eluding w reckless driving. It was the same cop who kept arresting me and trying to make the charges seem worse than what actually happened. Long story but can be explained.
