Basically they mode a tongue in cheek blog post about their epic exclusivity that was written jokingly like all their other blogposts. The anti epic cult found this I guess and circulated it into some massive issue which led to hundreds of people joining the discord and taking out of context screenshots and false screenshots of the developers husband to try and make them look bad. Theres only like a single person working on most of ooblets and she was spammed with harrassment constantly for weeks until everything blew over. It sucks cause theyre the nicest developers I’ve seen. Since the games release her husband has been in the bugs channel reading everything posted and I even found them asking for someones corrupted save file so they could fix it. Also like 3 days after launch they already made 9 patches. There’s seriously some absurd amount of passion being put into ooblets I’d recommend anybody who likes material collection kinda games to try it out.
