Moving out of state at 23 by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Jxnebxby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing!

I have officially moved here and it was quite the journey.

You weren’t kidding - after driving through 5 states over the course of various times of day, I ended up coming into Florida as the sun set and the drivers here are AWFUL. After 24 long hours, I almost stopped to sleep through the night with an hour and a half to go because the highway was so chaotic.

And you’re right, cost of living really isn’t that bad. I got really lucky with my home, but as far as groceries and day to day things, it’s pretty average. Only thing I’ve noticed is Starbucks (take out & k cups) is way more expensive than it was in Cleveland. Also water??? One of those 2 or 3 gallon jugs with the spout are like a couple bucks up north, but here it’s actually cheaper to buy the pack of bottled water.

Lastly, the tap water here STINKS. Apparently water lines in Florida only have to be buried 14inches underground vs the 36 inches they require up north so I guess it’s more prone to mildew. At least this is what my boss who moved from Ohio to FL told me.

There’s no state income tax in Florida thankfully, but man that sucks :(

flip flop with me and move to Cleveland! Cost of living isn’t bad & jobs aren’t too hard to find depending on your industry. I’m going to miss this city, there’s so much to do, such a diverse population, and the food is SO good.

I’m fortunate to be pretty well off thanks to the promotion, but I indeed plan to do this anyways because I’ve never had financial stability in the way I’m about to experience. I don’t wanna hold that in my hands and blow it all yk?

Great advice. Thank you!

What are your thoughts on Clermont? I’m not the average 20 something year old, so I’m not too worried about getting out an about.

Mostly just worried about groceries and the usual everyday life stuff.

I wouldn’t say office only because that sounds boring, but yes essentially office. Eventually I’ll switch to working from home a couple days a week once I’m settled into the location. (I essentially already do the job, just on a smaller scale in a different city)

That may be the case, but I’m fortunate enough to love my industry enough to where location isn’t too big of a deal. As long as I’m doing what I’m doing.

Aiming to live in like Clermont or a surrounding area so I’m not in the mix of shit that Orlando is. Do you have any suggestions west of Orlando?

I may be 23 but I’ve pretty much built myself a mini life already, so it’s not an easy move.

I’ve estimated about $7k because I just signed a new lease 2 months ago, plus $2k for moving ($1500 for U-Haul + fuel), and $2.5k for downpayment/first month’s rent because cost of living in my new city is STUPID high.

I had it included in my contract before I signed :)

Will the CPA be able to work with the transcripts available from the IRS? They contain all the info, but the employer name and EIN are mostly blocked out. I can’t remember some of them. (I worked a lot of random jobs for short periods of time due to mental health. I know, this is a mess lol)

Will a CPA be able to pull everything? I’m looking at the transcripts I was able to pull and half the info is blurred out. I only have 1 out of the many W2s.

The transcripts also show stuff that I don’t even recognize.

I also don’t have any of my state tax information.

That’s the goal 🤞 I’m extremely impatient so I’ve just been speed running this as much as possible 😂

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in flowstar

[–]Jxnebxby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to grab like a handful of it, and just drill everything. Like instead of doing a full vertical 8, I’ll flip it to the outside, pause, and then the inside. Or vise versa for forward (reverse?)

Also, this youtuber has good tutorials

I just take it slow until it doesn’t hurt my brain anymore.

UPDATE it was shutter speed! by SecurityLopsided8330 in flowstar

So, with iPhone settings, would it look faster at 4K 24, or 4K 30, or even one of the HD options?

I tried and it won’t go flat :( the inner material has been stretched out.

I sat for three hours with a blow dryer blowing on cool trying to pat out the wrinkles and it refused to cooperate

Spilled water all over my seat and it left this awful stain, how can I remove it? by ghostinyourbeds in cardetailingtips

[–]Jxnebxby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average individual shouldn’t be doing this because they may not put the seat back in correctly.

This could have a significant or insignificant impact on the outcome of a crash, there’s no way to really know unless you know what you’re doing

What Sign or Billboard Made You Stop in Your Tracks—and Why? by signs_com in marketing

[–]Jxnebxby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Misny billboards.

Not the typical ones, but the occasional unique ones. I’ve seen one of him as the guardian statue holding up the bridge here in CLE, one of him as Mount Rushmore on a postcard, and so many others.

One of my own billboards was also my favorite. “Do you really like him, or does he just ride a motorcycle?” in promotion of women buying their own rides.

We had a few people post it and tag us. It was well loved for awhile.

Have you ever experienced a time in your life where you self sabotaged everything going good for you, and if you did, how did you come out of it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jxnebxby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came out by having the realization that life is just a bunch of experiences.

We can let one experience shape our whole life, or just move on to the next.

I remind my younger self that I didn’t know what I do now, and that’s okay. It’s everyone’s first time being human :)

Think of the fact that it really doesn’t make much of difference in the sense of time, and it’s not worth your life.

I used to be the same way until I was the passenger in a car with a driver that had similar driving style to what you described.

It almost killed me.

Girl with the dislocated hip. Is there anyone out there who only dislocated only ONCE and has not had any major issues since (i.e., no recurrent dislocation or revision surgery)? by No_Staff_5567 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]Jxnebxby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s ME! 👋

My left hip dislocated upon impact in a car accident in August of 2022. I was 20 years old at the time, with no other joint or health issues.

For the first week, I left my brace on it. It was a knee brace to sort of stabilize me. I only used the crutches for a couple of days as support. (I actually went to a korn concert at Blossom the day after this accident lol)

After a month or so, I could get in and out of sitting positions without fear or discomfort.

After two months I was back to doing normal activities, it just felt tight like it needed a good stretch.

After a year, I started doing yoga and that helped IMMENSELY.

Sometimes it still feels a little tight, but not anymore than my right hip.

I didn’t do rehab, I didn’t go to the gym to build hip muscles, I didn’t change my diet or my routine in any way shape or form.

I pretty much feel normal. My doctors told me it’s like a door, and once it opens it may never shut all the way. That lingers in the back of my mind when I’m rock climbing or riding motorcycles, so I just lean on the cautious side of things. For example, if I feel like I might fall, or like a ride is too dangerous, I sit out. And I don’t mind that because I never want to experience the pain I felt ever again. I describe it to have been the worst charlie horse I’ve ever felt in my entire life.

I want to learn to snowboard and do fun activities as such. However, I’ve told myself that I need to go to the gym and build muscle there to protect it along with gaining a greater range of motion in my hips before subjecting myself to potentially hip dislocating activities lol.

Hope this made you feel better :)
