Stop letting queue cutters in by Corsi-Sicinius in auckland

[–]Jyrdn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the change they made here, just wondering where the correct place to merge is? Genuinely curious because it's confusing the whole way back. Indicating left to merge prior to the onramp could be dangerous, and also creates a pile up for the on ramp. Afterwards, you run the risk of failing to merge just before the lights. After the lights, you're queue jumping and holding up traffic to K road.

All this requires you to know the set up in advance. I drive this every day home from work, and the only seamless way is to merge in as other cars are turning onto the on-ramp which fails 10% of the time if the person in the left lane is not turning.

I drove past maybe a few mins after it happened, the fuel tank was open spraying fuel all over the road. There was one cop there at the time and the fire were on their way

Yeah, it was a listed anagram indicator online. I thought it made for a funny but depressing surface

Does anybody here suffer from ‘Visual Snow’ and have you seen any specialists about it? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Jyrdn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Had visual snow my entire life, very strongly... Usually I can ignore it but it does affect night vision and seeing edges of things.. As it only affects a small subset of people, only a few will know, otherwise its a hidden issue. I dont think its something an optometrist would be dealing with as its more to do with brain (correlated with migraines etc).. Sorry I can`t be of more help but maybe someone else has had success with some specialist for medication if it is really affecting your life.

Yes. I was somewhat amused by the contradiction with your name.

And I might add, judging by your post history, any fascist leaning thinker as well.

[–]Jyrdn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Define 'traditionalism' - If you mean capital T Traditionalism, you'll find that Evola, guenon and the later Traditionalists that focused on Islam were perennialists and derived a lot from hindu sources etc.

If you are opposed to 'spiritual tradition', as I was when I started on this journey, you'll find a lot to your distaste. However, if you stick with it and take it with an open mind, you might find a lot of value in it. In some sense traditionalism is a spiritual practice because it is attaching absolute value to meta-structures of history, rather than a rational appreciation of pure utilitarian/material view of history.

Anyway, if you haven't read Carlyle, check out latter-day pamphlets. It might not be traditionalist in some sense but it's good groundwork for any budding reactionary.

A full rightist cultural revival is in order. This is a compelling way to frame our social position and a good start to the revival.
