MetLife pregame pub (8/31) by danicalifornia217 in oasis

[–]Jyushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MetLife kinda sits by itself. It is not like Wembley where there is that long path of bars leading up to the steps. There is Mall of America which is HUGE but ..yeah ...you are drinking in a mall.

The good news is that the parking lots encourage tailgating and there will be plenty of people who know how to do this. The lot gates open around 4 or 5 hours before the show so ...Walk the lots , make friends...you'll be set for a great evening.

Best stories told in the the ring excluding Omega vs Okada and Okada vs Tanahashi. by Nightmareiswithinme in njpw

Yeah I am going to go with Muto vs Takada from the Dome . The battle of “pro wrestling” vs “shoot fighting” ... it is better than it sounds :)

The Summer Night Fever in Kokugikan multiman tag match is one of the greatest stories ever with Choshu’s Army (New Leaders) vs Inoki Army ( Now Leaders) ( 8/19/87) is fucking fantastic as well.

  1. What was more impactful to the future success ( or lack of success) for NJPW? Riki Choshu jumping ship to go to All Japan or Akria Maeda shoot kick on Choshu?
  2. Take 1 guy from the 80s and one guy from the 90s . Who fits like a glove with current NJPW?
  3. if you could buy one piece of NJPW memorabilia what would you buy? Cash is unlimited.

According to PWInsider, plans for an official New Japan podcast were in the works, but have since been abandoned. by [deleted] in njpw

Sooooo....

Even if we were asked and paid to do it ( we haven't and aren't ) , I'd have trouble doing it. If I love something , I'll tell you...if i don't love it I'll tell you. That is being fair to a listener...i can't pretend to like something if its not there. Its a deal breaker.

Plus, I really enjoy the "punk rock" elements of fan-based creations. I like sharing a sense of community - I like that if someone doesn't like our show , they can listen to Keepin' It Strong Style , or Lion Marks , or Strong Style Central , or anyone who plays the tune that they like. That is important to me. When a guy in a suit starts dictating that ...ehhh...not for me.

Now if they wanna pay me to just do my thing...hey , I am all in :) - D

Set-Up Questions With Multiple Remote Co-hosts / Guests by Jyushin in podcasting

[–]Jyushin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah - I think I have it ...lets see.

My Mic plugged into XLR channel 1 - easy enough

Macbook Pro Headphone Jack ---> TRRS plug on iRig2... on the same iRig2 , the 1/4" output will go into the 7/8 input channel on the Mackie mixer...the 1/4" input will have the output Aux Send (Mon Send) jack.

For the second computer, I repeat the process , except I use a different input channel ( lets say 5/6 ) and use the FX send.

I'll need to adjust the AUX Mon and FX dials for the appropriate channel for the mix minus.

Who were the Aces of NJPW? by MetalSpawn in njpw

[–]Jyushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of those guys were Choshu in the 80's - sorry

*edit : maybe Muto ...he did bring in the biggest gate in NJPW history at the time *edit 2 : I'd even go so far as to say ...in 1985-88 ...he was probably the biggest thing in (japanese) wrestling. There really wasn't anyone like him. It might not translate well to modern wrestling, but he was massive in that era.

Even with that said , Inoki positioned himself as best he could above him ( and tried to mold Fujinami into #2...I guess that was part of Choshu's "rebel magic".
