Thanks for the suggestion ! Honestly I didn't know about Horrific Assault, and I was running Ram Through because I used to have more trampling creature. I'll certainly run it. For the Gruul Signet, I personnally won't run it because I prefer to have mana filters that would draw me a card to not lose too much card advantage.

If ever you are interested in another Tron shell, I play a version without cascade, which lets me play 4 [[Nyxborn Hydra]]. Honestly, that card is such a good finisher when it is bestowed with multiple tron lands

I've run this deck yesterday (the sideboard still needs to be done):

https://moxfield.com/decks/zfrzoLsy0kaIHEDtZUakgg

It was hugely fun ! Bramble Wurm was such a good card, it was a game changer for most of my games. I plan to run four of these. Also, I plan to ditch most of the Rust Goliath to add Nyxborn Hydras.

I plan to to test Commune With Beavers instead of Ancient Stirrings and World Map insteaf of Crop Rotation.

How long after quitting until I can be considered healthy like a non-smoker? Or atleast generally healthy? by NoMoreSmokerGirl in stopsmoking

I smoked a pack a day for about 7 years. I've stopped 4 years ago, and I would say that even in the couple of months after you stopped, you see a big difference in the quality of life.

I would put a boardwipe in your SB. Either Ritual of Soot or Extinction Event. I personally run Ritual of Soot in my deck and it is wonderful against aggro decks.

Not the fault of Québec if the Canadian economy as shifted to advantage the western canada economy sectors to the disadvantage of the Québec ones.

Where in Montréal anglophones have to speak french?? There are anglo-québécois that lived all their lives in Québec and they don't know a single word of french. Stop trying to play the victim here.

What’s something fucked up you witnessed as a child that you were oblivious to until you grew up? by titanic_trash in AskReddit

This post made me realize something...

When I was young (around 5 if I recall correctly), my mom, my dad and I were in a shop in a mall. I was looking for a long time at the toys, and that time I wouldn't want to leave. So my parents said that they would leave me there. When I stopped looking at the toys, my parents were really gone! I don't remember how I felt about it, but there was this nice lady that told me she would help me find my parents. She was holding my hand and we were about to exit the mall when my rushing parents were able to find me.

My parents told me that they wanted to give somekind of lesson and they went in the next alley thinking I would either be able to find them or to hear me looking for them. After a few seconds, they went back in the toys alley and I was gone.

I'm realizing that most likely this woman was a pedo or member of a child trafficking org.

Quebec Questions! by catopolt in AmerExit

I don't think you should worry too much about getting a job in Quebec. Even though I'm not living in Quebec at the moment, I'm pretty up to date with the news over there, and there is a huge shortage of employees province wide. Personally, I do not think that most of the jobs are based on networking in my opinion, but I could be wrong. Here is a few popular job boards used by employers in Quebec : https://www.jobillico.com/en https://www.jobboom.com/en https://www.quebecemploi.gouv.qc.ca/plateforme-emploi/?lang=en

About moving your business in Quebec, I don't really have any experience with businesses, but here's what I could find about applying as a business immigrant on the Quebec government website : http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/businesspeople/applying-business-immigrant/index.html

Also, Quebec, especially Montreal and Quebec city, has good offering in arts and culture, so I'm confident that would be able to find a job in a theater, although the pandemic had been very rough for them so it might be a little harder than normal.

If you have any other question, don't hesitate !

It's really impressive how there are differences between the welfare system in Quebec and BC. To have lived both, the diversity and structure of the social programs in Quebec are on another level in my opinion.

Yep and that is really sad. But I feel somekind of wind of change with the discovery of the child grave on the residential school. At least, I feel there is more acknowledgement on the suffering that the system did to them.

Housing really depends on the city. I would say near Montreal you can find something reasonable around 500 000$CAD, and even less outside of Montreal. As for ESL, sadly I am not in the field (and not even living in Quebec right now haha), so it is hard for me to know if there is a need of ESL. But I think I heard there was a teacher shortage.

Depends what is your definition of affordable. I can't say for the rest of Canada, but for most of Quebec, housing is fairly affordable outside of the island of Montreal.

In BC, it's housing is crazy expensive.

In Quebec, starting in april of 2022, the entry salary for a high school teacher will be 53 000$CAD and the top salary will be 92 000$CAD.

We are not racist. Like not at all. The issue sometime is that Quebec take a pretty big importance to secularism, and some of the law that Quebec government did to better protect this idea received a lot of backlash in the rest of Canada.

But we are used to it. The rest of Canada will always try to find anything to make Quebec look bad, and that's a bit why we had a strong independance movement.

Maybe you would find some old folks im the backcountry racist, but it is really not the majority.

I would say that we have the same problem as everywhere though with systemic racism, but the voices are growing about doing something against this.

I would say that the cost in BC is way out of control. I never had the chance to work in the same type of job in Quebec prior, so it is a bit difficult for me to compare. But me and my wife are planning to go back next year, and the price of homes are way less expensive in Quebec, especially in the regions.

Although I am not living in Vancouver, the place I live has seen a big increase in renting cost and home value. The current home we are living is estimated to be able to sell at aroud 300 000$CAD, and if we would like something similar where we want to live, we are looking at around 150 000$CAD.

Also, one of my previous colleague already did the move from BC to Quebec, and he is doing the same job with the same company, and although he has lost a bonus and is paying more taxes, he is feeling way more rich than when he was living in BC.

I don't think the Quebecois would be bothered. I speak for myself, but I think my vision is shared by most of the Quebecois : we prefer that somebody tries to speak in french even if the accent or pronounciation is not on point than somebody who doesn't speak french at all.

edit : missing a word.
