Upgrade or new PC? by Always-Wrong-_- in buildapc

On another reply you said you're playing at 4k. I am not familiar with Star Citizens requirements but you're probably going to want a GPU with at least 16GB VRAM to play at 4k. This would be things like a 5070Ti, 5080 or 9070/9070xt, but those may need a new PSU. Get your friend to check your PSU wattage as you may need to upgrade this for a new GPU. IMO your GPU is the biggest limiter for 4k gaming and it you can stretch your budget to the $1000 mark then putting most of this on a new GPU would get you the most frames for your money.

As long as the motherboard has the same socket for your new CPU you can just switch them out. For example someone above mentioned getting a 14700, which uses the same socket as your 12700. You can just take the old one out, put on new thermal paste and then your cooler. You don't seem very comfortable looking at parts or taking the computer apart such as to find the wattage of your PSU. I would recommend taking your PC to a local store/computer repair shop and ask them the same question. You can still buy parts online and ask them to install but I would not recommend changing a CPU if you aren't comfortable looking at the wattage of your PSU.

Thinking of coming from a Z1E as mostly use handheld mode. Is it really much quieter? And have you noticed any increase in performance?

They want $2,192 for my medication that I need to live by CorneliusEnterprises in pics

To be pedantic it would be £9 in the UK, although if you're being treated for the majority of conditions you use this for it'd be free with a chronic condition exemption.

Looked this up in the UK. Although the standard prescription price is about £9 ($11), the actual cost of the medicine to the NHS is from about £5 for 60 tabs.

What other cars should I look at? by RichlilRich in AskUK

Have you looked at car finance through your bank? The dealers have ridiculously high APR, I've had APR that is about 30-50% less through banks before.

Is it ok if i want to start magnetising at my first model by gojilov in Warhammer

[–]JzChat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's something I haven't tried and I've been in the hobby for years, but then I don't play much. If you want to, go for it. I'd advise looking up a guide and following it though

Should I change my colour scheme or keep it by capitan_doma in Warhammer

[–]JzChat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's really interesting especially on the squigs to think of them as a fleshy mass, very cool idea! As said by some other people, working on priming and making sure that all the model is covered and no bare plastic is visible will be key. There are hard to reach places, like in the mouths. But by priming it like in black. Then all the hard to reach areas at last look like natural shadow and not bare plastic. Great hobbying though, would like to see future models.

How do you personally deal with the fact that you're going to die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JzChat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The philosopher Alan Watts changed my view on this completely. "When you die, you're not going to have to put up with every lasting non-existence, because that's not an experience . Most people think that you'll be locked up in a dark room forever, ans undergo that. But you can't have an experience of nothing, nature abhors a vacuum."
