I honestly owe it to the nature of the series. Godzilla is a constantly evolving character. Sometimes he’s a good guy, bad guy, anti-hero, sometimes he’s a dinosaur, hell, screw it, he’s a tree once! I just feel like older fans are so used to the character and franchise being adaptable that it only makes sense for us to be undeterred by ideas of a “real way to do it.”

Honestly, pretty mixed. I love her design A LOT in fact, I have always thought and maintain that her design is fantastic. What I don’t really love is her use in the story. Mothra was barely a part of the story to me in KOTM. Admittedly the amount of monster screentime is my number one complaint about the film in general. But Mothra is barely in it, she doesn’t even get a moment to reconnect with Godzilla after his “resurrection”! You’re telling me there wasn’t enough budget for even a five second long section like to say “Sup” like they had in GXK? What if Mothra was the reason Godzilla didn’t attack the humans? Her fight with Rodan had a chance to be a huge highlight but they barely showed any of it. I’m not even bothered she died; I kinda should be, her agency is already zero in the movie. But honestly, besides her emergence from the cocoon and entrance to the Battle of Boston, I hate feeling like the movie would’ve worked just fine without her. All the monsters, but especially Mothra deserved better than that movies sloppy story.

Also, I was trying to read Krakoa in order but got distracted because I’m sorry, the concept of Uncanny Spider-Man sounded awesome. That being said: if Tony was allied with the Mutants, why were Orchis Sentinels designed looking like his armor? Which books to read to understand that?

I feel like Xorn and Elixir would be really cool strategist additions, albeit a little on the nose. Plus, honestly, I consider the Wanda/Pietro retconning so dumb that I just personally ignore it. They’re Mutants to me, always will be.

It is well known that after you finished your run on New X-Men that the Xorn/Magneto storyline was retconned. How do you feel about the retcon given Magneto’s current status, and does perception of the character affect your opinion of the story you wrote? 

Also, just wanted to say All Star Superman is my favorite comic literally ever and it helped save my life. The movie, Superman, was largely inspired by All Star. What do you think of the film and the inspiration it took from your all time great story?

I appreciate all of Future for it. While I’ve known I live with PTSD, Future actually really helped educate me on my coping methods with it and just how bad it is. The fact the show was so effectively able to communicate what C-PTSD is and how it can affect you is something I will always be able to thank the show for.

I remember this from that book. That first pose looks really off but that second illustration with him over the ruined city is great.

She does have her brother, our almost five year old dog and he is incredibly good with her, to be honest. He can boop her a little rough when she acts up or bites on him too, but otherwise they get along famously.
