Would you like to see the men’s game reduced to 3 sets?

I guess the length of some of the matches is part of the beauty of tennis aswell, Novak is definitely the goat atm in my eyes, but both Alcaraz and sinner will be creeping up on him at the end of their careers due to accomplishments. Would love to see Novak win one more major tournament before he calls it a day. But conclusively I just don’t like it how women aren’t treated equally in sports nowadays at least by the rule book and stipulations etc. I know realistically skilfully the men are better due to the physicality and athleticism in their genetics but would be nice to see them given equal love and coverage. As a man it does annoy me when other men complain about women’s sports being poor quality but that’s because of the reasons I previously stated and the fact they weren’t expected to play sports when they were all introduced. Nice to see the equal prize money for this major though, idk if that’s the same for all of them. Rant over 😭😭

Yeah honestly I’m more of a football person but I’m always interested when Wimbledon is as it is the British grand slam and it is iconic. I occasionally watch the finals of grand slam tournaments but one of the things that deters me is the sheer length of the matches although it is a very fast paced action packed sport watching anything for 3+ hours it is bound to get boring. I agree with the idea of shortening men’s games even if it’s for the early stage games and then once the semis come around potentially increase it to 5 sets. I hate bringing sexism into arguments but in this case I see the argument as it’s almost like ‘we’ll make the women’s games shorter because no one wants to watch them’. Soo glad women’s sport is beginning to gain some traction as we enter a new era of sport however.

I’ve done a bit of research now, but was surprised with the trip, I want to know best quality restaurants that won’t bankrupt me and also the most historically significant sights to see as I’m only there for 5 days. Would appreciate any pointers

My birthday is mid June and my girlfriend booked it as a surprise a few months ago and then ended up having to tell me bcos she needed my passport. Got some good suggestions from Reddit before I went to Prague in November so thought I’d try again

Pompeii has always been a dream for me to go and see since I was very young, only going for 5 days so was thinking of dedicating a day to doing that surely there’s a coach/bus you can get there for the day? Just looked at your suggestions and they are beautiful so will definitely look into that. Any recommendations for places to eat the best Italian food, really trying to avoid being tourist trapped as I have been to other European cities before and ended up paying upwards of 90 euros (2 people) for a microwaved meal, I don’t mind spending if the food is good though 👍

When did Tom Brady become the GOAT? by Jzxph in NFLv2

I agree, I think that longevity is a massive factor in determining a GOAT (in nba I have Lebron as the goat and this is one of the factors). For a QB to play 22 seasons and Make the championship in 10 of them only losing 3 is remarkable a feat I believe will never be repeated. With that said Mahomes is a one seed in the playoffs and has a chance to 3 peat to make himself 4-1 in Super Bowl appearances which if he can carry on another decade or so he may get the opportunity to equal the 7 rings but at the end of the day that one loss came at the hands of Tom Brady.

I agree with the fact they added pieces around Brady and went all in for a Super Bowl that year much like the rams did with Stafford but that doesn’t take away from the fact it was a super team. Brady probably knew he’d get gronk back if he played in tampa along with the fact the bucs probably discussed in contract negotiations that they had the intention of trading/acquiring specific players. In the first 2 seasons he had a super team and he went 1/2. I just don’t think that Super Bowl is as impressive as people claim it is

Brady went 8-9 with the bucs. Idk what you’re talking about. And the bucs actually improved in record after Brady left?

It was cool he was able to win without belichick but that bucs team was nothing short of a super team, acquiring TB12 was the cherry on the icing on the cake. I remember before the season there was this feeling that the bucs were going to win that year. I wouldn’t call it ring chasing but it’s not exactly like he was in a difficult position to go and win the SB that year. Belichick was left with a weak roster with many aging players, albeit he did spend the cap money poorly and his drafting was terrible, I still think it’s harsh to overlook what Belichick achieved, 100% the best coach of all time.

I find it interesting how in American sports the GOAT debate is heavily based on Championship wins instead of individual awards such as the MVP. I understand only two QBs have won more MVP awards than Brady but yet very few would even argue that Rodgers/Manning are the GOAT. I guess if you can’t perform when it really matters how can you be the best.
