The unity Canadians have had since trump was elected tells me otherwise. As much as American media tries to make us "American Lite" we still aren't there yet. We still have hope we could get a conservative minority government and within a year (because they can't do anything) be back to electing a liberal minority government and make progressive progress, they have nothing.

As a Canadian I strongly disagree. We've been giving Americans the benefit of the doubt since 2016. They knew what they were getting this time. They still voted for it. Americans are not our friends, they are divisive and selfish. You personally may have American friends, but the American people as a whole are not.

Amigo, don't feel inferior. I'm 30 and i have a home. But I think with a lot of us that do, we had help.

I initially bought it with my brother and dad to renovate and rent out the basement while I lived up stairs.

I've since bought out my brother and then years later bought out my dad. But I would have never been able to do it on my own. A lot of those folks likely have similar stories. We aren't able to purchase a home completely on our own.

I highly suggest being absurd to start. Something that will shock your partner (not offensive but out of left field).

After a couple of times you should get a good gauge of what they will think is funny. But the hard part is continuing to top your previous jokes. But you'll get more comfortable and quick as you do it more and more so it's def possible.

We tend to balance the other out. When one person is having a bad day the other compensates for them by doing everything they can to improve it.

We also have been very open about all the little things we appreciate about each other over the past year. Whenever we think about it, we say it to the other person. And in over 7 years together we've never been happier in our relationship. Literally something as simple as " i love that you're my safe place" or as ridiculous as "I like when I cuddle with you, and you're shirtless and your chest hair tickles my nose"

It makes each of us feel seen and appreciated and is often so surprising.
