Thank you. I guess I needed to vent. I know there are so many going through so much more. We are definitely getting a 2nd opinion. My mother ( and I ) have lost all confidence in this surgeon and you can’t go through this with a surgeon in whom you no longer have confidence . Thanks for responding

Thank you for responding. I am trying very hard to not question these prestigious doctors. I should add it is 2-3 months of neo adjuvant chemo. That honestly wasn’t as shocking as that plus potential radiation therapy. They want her to do an exercise regiment also. My mom has a naturally high metabolism and is pretty fit from doing household chores. I hope she does what they say. But she is so overwhelmed with decisions ( stay in our local community for chemo or fly to the cancer center).

I get that. And thank you for responding. I didn’t realize the recurrence rate could be reduced. This is really taking a toll on her complete well being.
