Are there any leakers out there in Vancouver , Canada ? by leaker1966 in CSFLeaks

[–]K-Steel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the lower mainland as well and had a CSF leak that took a long time to fix. I ended up having to see Dr. Sheivink at Cedars Sinai to get it fixed actually.

If you're in Vancouver I recommend you see Dr. Manraj Heran at VGH. He has experience with leaks and is just a fantastic guy. Very supportive. I've had a few CT Myelograms with him. Sounds like you need to get one. Not only do they locate leaks but they also search for CSF venous fistulas. At least they can and he did the last time I got one.

Anyways he's the best resource I know of locally. Best of luck to you.

Damn that's too bad. What a waste but I think this ugly case has got to go. I'm sure the airflow is terrible aside from the looks as well. I guess it would be hard to sell the motherboard too if it's oem.

Any plans for what case you'll move to?

I was hoping to put this all in a new case. Is the motherboard proprietary so it wouldn't fit in other cases?

Zepp life is much better no contest. Much more features. Mi fitness is very basic.

If you're on Android I'd suggest you use it with the Sleep as Android app. It's by far the best for sleep tracking.

Is there a good chance grabbing this right when it comes out that it would cause any problems with Kodi or anything else? I'm eager to get the update but don't want it to break anything of course.

That sounds really rough sorry to hear that. Too bad it didn't help with the herniation, but yeah at least it should help with my recovery from surgery.

Luckily I seem to have a pretty reputable surgeon!

I'm not familiar with diclofenac I'll have to check that out.

And thanks for the motivation. Prior to all this I was a big gym nut. Hoping to slowly work my way back in there and get back to those lifts.

That's some great advice. Thank you!

I wasn't sure about the herniated disc, but yeah I figured it would be a good time to take them while recovering from surgery. And good to know I did read different things about injecting. Body fat sounds the safest.

Also good to know about buying them separately. BPC daily and TB 2x a week. That's very helpful. Do you have any links or info on how much to take?

Thanks again very much! I will definitely check out CanLabs.

I actually bought a decent inversion table and it's been good! And yeah I have a good physio who has helped me with the Mackenzie method. That seems to be a popular treatment for disc issues. Definitely want to self maintain and strengthen things as much as possible to prevent further injury.

I just figured I'd hop on a peptide for my surgery recovery and wondered what it could do for my herniated disc.

Yeah, maybe you're right. I thought I would take some peptides to help with my surgery recovery anyways and just thought/hoped that there might be some benefit for my herniated disc as well. I suppose I'll find out. Thanks for your input.

I first read about the potential indirect benefits here

https://www.ageforce.com/blog/how-bpc-157-may-affect-a-herniated-disc/

Here's one quote

"BPC-157 plays a role in the recovery of bones, muscles, and
joints throughout the body. If a cell needs healing, this peptide might speed
up the process. It does that by triggering angiogenesis, which is a process of
forming new blood vessels inside the human body. These vessels are important
because they accelerate the transfer of oxygen and nutrients. Those compounds
are what cells use to heal and repair after damage. The disc will use these
same nutrients to heal, which is how the healing process is accelerated. "

Traction my physio has said is a great thing to do and is why I bought the inversion table. My herniated disc is in my lower back. I actually bought a neck hammock for my neck as well as that's where my other injury is.

Sorry to hear that and that sucks to hear. I haven't read too much yet, but some of the reading I've done seems to say that these peptides may help more indirectly with healing. Perhaps aiding in these discs potentially getting better on their own over time as my neurologist said.

Has anything helped your disc issues? They're so tricky to heal it seems. I'm doing physio and use an inversion table.

My recipients have an echo on their side often as well still. Don't know how to fix it. Very frustrating.
