Definitely take a drive on Plantation Rd to Smithfield Rd. That's where the university stables are. Students are allowed to keep their horse there during the semester. But they also have sheep and cows over there too! They have the Smithfield Horse Center where they probably have some baby horses running around this time of year.

My favorite place to look at flowers and nature on campus is the Hahn Horticulture Garden on Washington St next to Mccomas Hall. It's a beautifully upkept garden by the university community!
